I agree with the point on Marcelo, has come on leaps and bounds under Mourinho, still has some way to go to fully convince me, but he is definetly improving in every area. If Marcelo does nail left back down as his favoured position then Brazil in 2014 can look forward to having him and Dani Alves bombing down the wings, Alves will be 32 but he has 4 lungs so who cares.

By the way, where are now those who said Mourinho's Madrid would be defensive and boring a couple of months ago? Last four league games, 19 goals scored, 4 against and fans in the  Bernabeu absolutely delighted with the style.

Why weren't you asking that question a month ago? :wave

Why weren't you asking that question a month ago? :wave

Because one month and a half ago I said this ;)

At this point in time, I don't believe in coaches styles. I think you have to judge a team style in a particular period under some coach in a certain club with certain players. There are many parameters to consider.

Madrid vs Osasuna was a bad game. Madrid vs Ajax was extraordinary. Which is Mourinho's style? I don't really know. You can only judge past many games, until then we'll just be especulating.

Teams for the derby named early, hopefully it will be a good game.

Real: Casillas; Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Carvalho, Marcelo; Xabi Alonso, Khedira; Di María, Özil, Ronaldo; Higuaín.
Atletico: De Gea; Valera, Ujfalusi, Domínguez, Filipe; Reyes, Mario Suárez, Tiago, Simao; Kun Agüero, Forlán.

Can't wait for the Madrid derby...it's been a cracking day of football already.

Can Atletico do the impossible?

I don't think so, but here's hoping for some magic.

It is just amazing how quickly Messi can move his feet and his mind.

It looks like he will be blocked or tackled but he can realize an issue so quickly that he ends up making a defender look silly for actually doing the right thing.

Atletico haven't beaten Real in 11 years, Mourinho hasn't lost a home league game in 8 years. Surely only one winner tonight?

Must have gotten his hands stuck in someone's shirt from pulling on it and got dragged into the other box.
