Ooooh! Matron!

seriously though, I've got a feeling he may be correct! They think they've already won this tie!

EXXXXcelent!

No they don't. stupid to suggest we're going to win three nil in such a tight and difficult game. It will be very tight with two of the best defences in England on show.

I have a feeling Rafa will try to surprise Mourinho, and try to take control of the tie with a win at the Bridge.  Mourinho will expect a 'parked bus' approach, as in 2005.  I can see us try to go for this one.

Strongly fancy us to get a positive.  Wouldn't be surprised if we win 2-1.  Chances will be at a premium though, and we have to hope that we take whatever comes.

Fancy this line up:

                                 Pepe

Finnan          Carra               Agger                 Arbeloa

Pennant           Masch               Alonso               Riise

                              Gerrard

                                   Crouch

Have a very bad feeling about this. Have this gnawing feeling they'll score like 3 the opening 20 just like they did against Barca 2 years ago effectively deciding the tie. They will want it a bit more than us I'm afraid. Haven't decided yet whether I'll watch it or not. Going out against these c*nts will make the Anfield loss to Arse in 89 a cool fucking breeze.

Reina
Finnan Carragher Agger Arbeloa
Gerrard Sissoko Alonso Mascherano Riise
Crouch

I'd go with this.  Possibly Crouch for Kuyt, but Sissoko, Mascherano and Gerrard all have to start.  We need some bit in this side, someone to snap at Fat Frank and Ballack. Carragher can pop Shevchenko back in his pocket again.

Exactly my feelings.

Would also agree this over confident tone we've had the last weeks doesn't suit us. We'll need to pull the performance of the season if we're to keep the tie alive for the Anfield return leg.

Gaz, according to Rafa we are.

Can't imagine why anyone thinks we're overconfident!

Or that we don't want the win as much as them!

We will need to be at our best, for certain,  but why should we be afraid?  We are Liverpool for heaven's sake.  We've outplayed them 3 times this season already; if we get the same amount of gilt-edged chances on Wednesday as we did in the League match at the Bridge this season, I'll be made up.  Just need to be sure to take 2 of them this time.

All true, but could you name me one team in the history of this game that enjoy so much luck, refereeing support and other stuff? I know I can't. I just have this horrible feeling they owe one over us so to speak. Going out against them will represent the worst moment in supporting this team for almost 3 decades.

Agree with you that they owe us one which is why I think we will go out.  These things have habit of evening themselves out and after beating them in 2 semi finals recently. . .

Disagree on worst moment comment though. That would surely be losing to the mancs in the final.

Think we will suprise quite a few people and win at the Bridge, we have played our last three games at Testimonial pace, while Chelskis have all been very intense. Think we should go at them from the start, rattle a few cages as they have loads of players a booking away from missing the return at Anfield, 0-2 or even 0-3  :o  to the Mighty Reds.

You know me, HH. I've got to run against the stream. ;) Seriously tho, I would agree he played to his normal standards up until 2 months ago. I mean, his crossballs have been finding its target on a very frequent basis as of lately. I haven't seen that in the last 4-5 years. I also think he's managed to take advantage of his physical strength. I still believe we need a better player if we're to win no.19. But cred where it's due an'all he's, IMHO, played better the last 2 months than in his entire Liverpool career, bar the opening 4-5 months. If that makes sense in Swenglish I don't know.

Suppose we will see on Wednesday, but it's become oh so fashionable for all the Beauts to start having a pop at Momo, Thankfully Rafa still rates him. It even seems most people think he won't start on Wednesday, I reckon he's a nailed on Starter.

Pulled off - http://www.cfcnet.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=25589

"But toally agree with all the sentiments expressed. Lets make loud noise before, during and after the game at the Bridge. No holding back. Lets put the fear of Chelsea into Liverpool. And when we go to Anfield, then lets make sure we're as loud as possible, whatever the score or however loud they might be. JT has said that this time they're not going to get intimidated (read the Sunday Times interview with him this weekend for more on that) and have no fear of Anfield. Let's give Liverpool something to fear."

That me laugh... fuckin' funny. ;D
