Brazil have played awful football since 2006. Anti-football since Dunga took over.
I agree, but I also think it's a product of what they have.
2002 you had Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, young Kaka all very skilled on the ball. Since then it's only been Neymar that's shown a level of skill, and he's injury prone (now effectively done with his age and latest injury), they just became a one man team at his prime, everything went through him.
That Germany drubbing in the WC was really more mental than anything, with Neymar taken out they virtually collapsed, not sure where to turn.
I look at the current squad now and there just isn't the same wow factor. The only person I genuinely think is an all star is Ali in goal, the rest are take it or leave, Vini Jr. meh, Coutinho showed promise with us, wonderful on the ball, but his move to Barca really regressed him (or he simply didn't take the next step, I dunno).
They're in a bit of an identity crisis at the moment, I just don't see the talent level as that of previous generations, and that happens from time to time I guess. Suddenly you'll see 3 or 4 gifted kids come out at the same time and who knows..
