I don't think I've seen Hawkwind 'Space Ritual live' mentioned on this thread yet -  it has the added attraction of being recorded in part at Liverpool Stadium at a gig I was at.

A few others - Bruce Springsteen 'Seeger Sessions live in Dublin' is pretty good
Richard Thompson - 'Live in Austin'
Sandy Denny - 'Gold'
The Clash -'From here to eternity' - not a live concert, but a collection of live performances from different shows.
Counting Crows - 'Across a wire'

James - One Man Clapping

Which is more a review of the show than the actual title.....

Not sure if Ive ever truly liked a "live" LP regardless how much I liked a band, although I do think Neil Youngs "unplugged " is very good , though not sure if thats in the spirit of a live gig!

Saw all the mentions of Babylon by Bus. I'm not a Marley fan (or reggae particularly) but his Live At the Lyceum is a fantastic live recording and loads better than BbB imho.

Another shout for the remastered James Brown Show Live at the Apollo 1962, which is my absolute favourite live album.

It's a shame that they went all strange and crap after there Rocking all over the World shite cover, but I think Status Quo's 1st live album should get mentioned. The album was recorded in Glasgow's Apollo Theatre in 1976 and it rocks hard.
It's a real live recording, easy to spot, it contains a fair bit of mistakes but the intensity and crowd participation more than makes up for it.

Praising the Quo might not be a popular thing to do but this album is fucking ace !

They were a cracking live band back in the day and that's a fine album - not as good as Lizzy's Live & Dangerous imo but still good  :thumbup

My favourite official live abum would be Spiritualized - Royal Albert Hall October 10, 1997

As for bootlegs Manic Street Preachers - Destroyed By Madness, Richey's Last Gig is untouchable for intensity and historical context.

Damn right, probably my favourite album ever!!!

A beautiful symphony of guitar and orchestra, i know there's a lot of 'tallica fans who detest the collaboration but for me it makes for one of the most extraordinary musical ventures I've ever heard.
Also Hetfields vocals are immense on this album.

I recommend to anyone (even my old man likes it), even if metal doesn't usually appeal to you this album is an incredible piece of music and I urge you to give it a go. Have a listen to this and you'll see what I mean...

Best live album I've heard is Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Live At Luther College.  Blows my mind how they can play some of those songs with just two blokes with an acoustic guitar each.
