Something seriously wrong with the football set up when all 3 promoted teams are as bad as they have been this season. The money given to the teams that tread water in the PL is ridiculous. It keeps them too far ahead of the teams in the championship.
I think the standard of the Championship was just shocking last season. This Burnley team got over 100 points, and the other PL teams that were relegated finished 11th and 13th. The play offs were made up of Luton, Coventry, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, all of which were average at best - the three that didn't come up have finished 8th, 9th and 16th this season.
With Leicester (points deduction notwithstanding) and likely one of Southampton or Leeds coming up now, I think the points total required to stay up next season will be more normal.
