City weren't as perfect back then though, not in the way they are now.

At the point when Man Utd beat City, there was no title race. Utd were already trailing behind City by 16 points, and City only needed one win to clinch the title. The following week, City were crowned champions. So in reality there was no title race. City were never under pressure to perform.

What a shitshow this league has become.

I don't know how it recovers to be honest.

We've got CL football but right now I just don't feel positive about the future of the game. Even that competition is getting reformatted for no reason at all.

It's a total disgrace that the league winners have cheated for years and the teams surviving relegation are also breaking the rules of the game.

Then you throw in VAR and totally corrupt officiating and you start to wonder where it's all heading.

For once we’ll get every decision going because it allows the drama at the top of the table and the battle for fourth to go to the last day. It will then be used by opposition fans next season to say, ‘Liverpool fans always complain about decisions, did you see the game against Villa?’

Even if Spurs try they’ll get mashed.

Have Arsenal fans started to feel angry about being cheated? I recall we were just happy to be relevant the first time but that changed to a lot of anger and resentment when it happened again.  You’ve deserved to be champions this year but I just can’t see City not winning both games comfortably.

If Forest lose today they can no longer reach 34 points which was the previous lowest total to stay up in a 38 game season (West Brom in 2004/05). If they lose today and next week then they wouldn't have reached 34 even without the points deduction.

They're on the brink of officially being the shittest team ever to survive relegation.

Something seriously wrong with the football set up when all 3 promoted teams are as bad as they have been this season. The money given to the teams that tread water in the PL is ridiculous. It keeps them too far ahead of the teams in the championship.

I think the standard of the Championship was just shocking last season. This Burnley team got over 100 points, and the other PL teams that were relegated finished 11th and 13th. The play offs were made up of Luton, Coventry, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, all of which were average at best - the three that didn't come up have finished 8th, 9th and 16th this season.

With Leicester (points deduction notwithstanding) and likely one of Southampton or Leeds coming up now, I think the points total required to stay up next season will be more normal.
