Well done Reds. All that matters now is the points. Keep racking them up.  :scarf

Forget the performance - the 3 points is all that matters.

We’ll need Robbo, Endo, Quansah and Trent but feels likes a lot of our better results have come with likes of Gomez and Bradley, Konate and Joe Gomez in the starting 11.

Good problems to have i suppose with players coming back.

Kelleher never let's us down. I can't think of a better number 2. He just slots in almost seamlessly

Not a great performance overall. Another mix up at the heart of the defence nearly gifted them a second. Needs sorting out.

Excellent header by nunes. Elliott is class.

You must have missed the Fulham game then?

Ref was kind to him today luckily, as he could have got a second yellow for sarcastically clapping the ref on a yellow too. Second time he's got away with that for us at Anfield (unlike Dalot, luckily)

Big shout out to Curtis Jones for covering the RB position. I hope I don’t have to see an unfit Trent there again this season. Jones and Elliott helped make the difference today.

Makes up for the decision not given when they wrestled Jota to the floor in the first half then.  :D

Yep. And Nunez got a big arm tug.

It's easy to say it would be soft but it's easy to point out when we've been on the receiving end of such decisions.

Happy with the points but disappointed with the performance. No excuse to play like this at home aginst a team managed by Kompany.

Exactly Darwin gets gripped by the arm and dragged to the floor gets nothing and then the defender goes down when Darwin breathes on him for the challenge that results in the yellow card. Absolute joke.

Is it any wonder he gets pissed off? Officiating is shambolic, he reacts to awful decisions and gets punished.

Yes he needs to be more robotic but the refs aren't playing a fair game.

Yes, worst game for us that day. If you looked back at some of the goals during that game you could gave argued he should probably have saved the 1st or 2nd goal that day. Played well today though.

Well today's was a definite foul. There is no need for the afters, you have to control yourself even if you don't agree with the decision, has got a way with a few dissent situations this season too.

Wasn't that a genuine clap of appreciation after the ref gave him a free kick? Or was it another one?

I only saw it happen once so I assume we're talking the same event.

Would suggest it was still a stupid thing to do since clapping refs often pick up yellows for that regardless of context (and in this, the context was he'd been pissed off at the ref, so even if sincerely beautifully kind-spiritedly clapping his refereeing excellence, the ref could still easily have yellowed him again)

He needs to take a leaf out of the book of the likes of Odegaard or Fernandes.

They manage to take decisions that go against them without the slightest hint of dissent.

Where Nunez got booked they were running right towards us in the Kop. Obviously no replay, so I could be wrong, but it looked like the defender moved across in front of Nunez. Was a ridiculous decision by the ref - but so many times whenever we pressed them and they realised they were in trouble, they'd throw themselves to the floor and the ref bought  it every time. Took us a long time to twig and start doing the same.

We looked a different team second half, much better. That we did it with a patched-up right hand side was a credit.

Only stopped being twitchy when we went 3-1 up.

3 points is all I care about. But, it's 11pm and I'm still fuming over that ref. He was absolutely pathetic. Him and his VAR allowed them to drag our boys to the ground in tackles that would be fouls in rugby.

A win -especially on the back of that Arsenal performance- is all that matters. The way the team responded to that late equalizer was fantastic.

All in all not much to complain about considering we don't really know who was still sick or not. Just have to hope Trent's injury isn't serious. Aside from that enjoy the break as I'm sure we all hope it's the last they get for quite some time.
