Any idea if the NFC ticket needs an active sim card on the phone it's on?

I'm due an upgrade, gonna go to an iphone. My ticket is in my Google Wallet. I'm thinking of just bringing my phone with the Google Wallet and ticket on to get in, but it won't have an active sim, or any data on it.

Thoughts?

no, just make sure ticket is loaded up whilst you're on wifi.

Thanks - even if there's no wifi I could just hotspot from new phone to old phone at the ground to load up the ticket and get in.
