Bassey and Ream are a pair of liabilities. Surely we get plenty of joy out of them at the weekend?

They've got a lot of players who have been around the league for years but it doesn't look very good at all. Weak at centre half and have very little quality in attack. I'm amazed they didn't replace Mitrovic with someone else because Jimenez's career was practically ended after that head injury a few years ago. Looks like they'll have Palinha back for the game at the weekend but it shouldn't make much of a difference, they're crap. Only won 3 games and they were include Everton, Sheff Utd and Luton.

Got a slight touch on the ball, but a stomping motion and bad way to try get the ball. Not sure on that myself… can see why it wasn’t overturned.

VAR is useless for subjective decisions like that. Damned if it intervenes, damned if it doesn't.

This is much more of a penalty than their first. Probably won't be given then.

No idea what Alan Smith is on about, it's stonewall. Even Gary O'Neil knows it.

THE TRUTH?

Lord Justice Taylor's official inquiry into the disaster disparaged The Sun's story and was unequivocal as to the disaster's cause:

The Taylor Report stated that official cause of the disaster was the failure of police control.

I'm listening on the radio here, Danny Murphy and Sam Materface said it was a complete dive, should never be given. No way this is a pen. Then said it might be. Then its not. Then there was contact, maybe a bit, or was there. Then he left his leg. Cheers lads

Soft pens. Players shouldn’t try and win it in the box when it’s going nowhere. Which I know sounds stupid but with VAR it’s a different game in the box.

Not a pen, and absolutely no chance it’s a clear and obvious error. Ridiculous that that sort of contact is considered a pen by anyone.

Yeah, Wilson running full tilt at him. You can say the defender was careless or should have seen him coming but he didn’t alter what he was doing. Dunno, just don’t think every bit of contact means it’s a foul.

What did the ref say to VAR for you to decide its not a clear and obvious error? The ref has to see no contact at all for that not to be overruled.

This is one of the many issues with VAR though. Consensus here is very split. If VAR or the ref said no penalty, there’d still be loads of people saying it’s a bad decision. So should you just bum use of VAR for anything subjective? Would we be any worse off?

No contact? Theres clear contact but there doesnt need to be any contact anyway. If Wilson is impeded, of which he is, then its a foul. Gomez not knowing Wilson is there isnt relevant.
