They'll be up there next season too unless an injury curse strikes.
If they go another season without one single injury then something is clearly not right.

No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

Sickens me that the c*nts have won again, murdering football, as they murder their own people and deny them their basic human rights. The more titles they win the more respectability they get from the wider world. That's why I will never want them to win. Sympathy to the Arsenal guys on here, that you failed to win. Despite what others have said on here, the Arsenal fans on here supported us when we went up against Abu Dhabi. It's all there on rawk, if anyone can be arsed to find out. It's another shitting night for football in this country, the sooner we put a gun to it the better.

Yep.

We shipped off our head of medical staff (since 2009) to Man Utd. It has definitely improved things for us and made it worse for them.

At least they've not been shafted by the officials.
Hopefully they'll just be able to tell themselves they were the best football team in the country this year, after City's titles get voided.

As I said last year, you're on the podium listening to the Abu Dhabi national anthem standing next to a roided up cheat with a gold medal they don't deserve on their chest.

You mean a usual amount of injuries. It's absolutely bizarre how lucky they've been this season. I can't ever remember the likes of it to be honest.

They've been quite a bit fortunate with injuries to the opposition's best players just as they've played them this year.
But they're finishing second and deservedly ahead of us, can't say any different now.

They've had incredible luck with officiating, injuries and the health and form of the opposition. It was a perfect storm for them. But such luck is unsustainable. Other teams will improve in the summer. Wouldn't surprise me if the PL quietly clamps down on Arsenal's set-piece antics over the summer too. More wins and goals than The Invicibles this season and they will likely leave the season empty handed

They also have 5 defeats...no team should win this league with that many defeats imo.

Fair play to them for becoming a really competitive team but on the other hand this was a bit of a down year for City. Likelihood is they'll be back in the high 90s again. Let's see if Arsenal can make another step forward in their development to match that.

Of course they deserve it but yet again a trophy less season for lego head. Klopp consistently won trophies despite 115's cheating. We have been truly blessed to have him and so have the league as he's kept it interesting these last years.

That Son chance will haunt them for years.

It was their Iheanacho.

Luckily we then beat Barca 4-0 two days later and won the biggest one of all, but I can remember that Monday night felt very hard.

Is Isak likely to leave Newcastle? It would take an absolutely enormous fee to get him assuming there isn't a buyout clause factor in.

Although many will feel Son should score It was equally top goalkeeping we have seen Alisson do stuff like this all the time. City have top no.2 goalkeeper.

The Iheanacho miss was a shocker i'm convinced he did it on purpose.

That is now the 6th title run-in they have came out on top. Not one title chase have they came out as the loser. 3 against Liverpool (2014, 19 and 22), 2 against Arsenal (2023 and 24) and 1 against Utd (2012).

Joke is most title winning teams could afford to lose five games before Man City and Guardiola 'raised standards.'

2000/01 - Man Utd - Lost 6 - Won title by ten points
2001/02 - Arsenal - Lost 3 - Won title by 7 points
2002/03 - Man Utd - Lost 5 - Won title by 5 points
2003/04 - Arsenal - Lost 0 - Won title by 11 points
2004/05 - Chelsea - Lost 1 - Won title by 12 points
2005/06 - Chelsea - Lost 5 - Won title by 8 points
2006/07 - Man Utd - Lost 5 - Won title by 6 points
2007/08 - Man Utd - Lost 5 - Won title by 2 points
2008/09 - Man Utd - Lost 4 - Won title by 4 points
2009/10 - Chelsea - Lost 6 - Won title by 1 point
2010/11 - Man Utd - Lost 4 - Won title by 9 points
2011/12 - Man City - Lost 5 - Won title on GD
2012/13 - Man Utd - Lost 5 - Won title by 11 points
2013/14 - Man City - Lost 6 - Won title by 2 points
2014/15 - Chelsea - Lost 3 - Won title by 8 points
2015/16 - Leicester - Lost 3 - Won title by 10 points
2016/17 - Chelsea - Lost 5 - Won title by 7 points
2017/18 - Man City - Lost 2 - Won title by 19 points
2018/19 - Man City - Lost 4 - Won title by 1 point
2019/20 - Liverpool - Lost 3 - Won title by 18 points
2020/21 - Man City - Lost 6 - Won title by 12 points
2021/22 - Man City - Lost 3 - Won title by 1 point
2022/23 - Man City - Lost 5 - Won title by 5 points

Still, little things always go their way like the Stones clearance, Ihenacho missing a sitter, Villa's 2nd keeper gifting them the league and now Son missing a sitter.

This should hit them hard. They'll feel as if they deserved the title and to be honest they probably did.

I wonder if they'll collapse like we did in 20/21 and last season as well or if they'll come back even stronger.

We didn’t collapse after missing out by a point, went and won it by a mile. Possibly third time lucky for them next season with the right signings.

I know Arsenal fans will want to be crushing me under their boots and spitting on me and my predictions right now, but I have another.   :P

Next season Arsenal are to face their 'third season syndrome'. Klopp always had one of those after two narrow, hard grafting seasons. Not that we'll be anywhere near them or top four ourselves.  :'(

They look like they can win it next season because they are currently the best team in the league.

City aren't as good as them atm but:
1. Teams either don't try against them out of fear
2. There's no emotional reason to beat them. Others just don't care.
3. They never get injuries
4. They get favoured a lot by refs.
5. They have that experience.

It depends on the transfer business but as things stand, Arsenal are better than them.

Shouldn't they have collapsed last season after the "bottle job"?

They don't have to dig that deep to find good reasons why they weren't deserving of the league.  Losing 2 home games against modest opposition, not going for it against us for 90 minutes or Man City for 90 minutes in away games which ended up as draws but if they had risked winning both maybe they win 1 and lose the other which gives them an extra point.  I know that still wouldn't be enough but that's Arteta being too conservative.

Why do so many fans give Arteta a pass for this?  Is it that you hate Man City so much that you are blind to their flaws?

But a lot of things really went their way this season, such as having virtually no injuries or playing teams that had half their sides out due to injuries. If they lose someone like Saliba or Odegaard for an extended period of time it'll hit them hard.
