French security has 2 forces - police and gendarmerie.  The latter prevalent in Paris in 2022

I always thought it was 3 separate police groups

The French police consists of three centralized forces — two of which have the same mission but different jurisdictions at a national scope: National Police (Police Nationale) and National Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie Nationale) and Municipal Police (Police municipale) at a local scope.

Does anyone know if UEFA run a ticket ballot for the Europa League Final as they do for the CL?

Jumped on euro away ladder last year with Napoli, wondering if this season its gonna be my last chance to stay on the ladder...like if we continue to get small grounds/allocation will they still use this season as the only criteria for next season sales or are they gonna use both 22/23 and 23/24 season to make them sales? Seems to be times when they use last two seasons as criteria and times when they go back only one season.

No this won't be your last season to stay on the ladder because depending on what the allocation is, they will go back as many seasons as is necessary in order to find the criteria for the guaranteed sale, followed by additional sales after that.

probably like over 1000 people in a similar boat, i think? a few would have got a rangers (and ajax?) ticket too i believe because of the basketeers

but basically at some point there'll be a huge scrap of these people if we were to get a big allocation (but not a 'big enough' allocation)

Ajax didnt drop with 16 tickets left after the 3+ sale

Rangers had 25 left and dropped

more like 150/160 than 1000. All we need is an allocation 2.8 or more and it should drop.

6 out of 16 current possible opponents in the playoff round have an allocation of more than 2.8k
2 out of the 7 other group winners, have an allocation of more than 2.8k

Ahh right, might be a day trip..
I'll probs spend some time somewhere else before/after wherever we draw. If it was there, Istanbul, Qatar or Dubai look good options

So, I assume we won't know who our opponents are until Fri 23 Feb at the earliest, with play-off 2nd legs the night before (take it the draw is 23rd ?). The away leg is Thurs 7 March...doesn't leave a lot of time for the club to get sales criteria and sales dates sorted, let alone any travel arrangements.

More time than the gap we had in 2022 when we drew Napoli first group game away

I'd be surprised given its only 2 weeks away from the draw.

Usually takes 3-5+ days to confirm flights etc hence why its unlikely

I checked with Sport Options today, it's not the 13 day turnaround that's the problem, it's the logistics of the fact that all 4 English teams are away on the same night, staffing and planes etc

Yes we could, the only thing we can't do is face another English team in the last 16 but because none of them are in the play-off round we can't anyway

We can definitely get Toulouse but will only face one of the eight winners of this evening/next week's ties in our round of 16 tie.

Feyenoord vs Roma

Milan vs Rennes

Lens vs Freiburg

Young Boys vs Sporting

Benfica vs Toulouse

Braga vs Qarabag

Galatasaray vs Sparta Prague

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Marseille

Bolded who I'm predicting to win but some of them are quite hard to predict IMO. Feyenoord/Roma and Milan/Rennes could go either way (As all of them could, obviously)
