Any suggestions gratefully received. I’m ‘this’ close to choosing Naked Gun.

Might I suggest this all-time classic

"Don’t let your heads drop. We’re Liverpool. You’re playing for Liverpool. Don’t forget that. You have to hold your heads high for the supporters. You have to do it for them." - Rafa Benitez, halftime, Istanbul, 2005.

Can’t have Twins (unlike any which way) or Teen Wolf as I have Arnie and Michael J Fox.

Batman and Risky Business were under consideration.

I'll be honest, I share Homer Simpson's view on thriller Police Academy movies, right down to that guy who does sound effects.

That reminds me of Short Circuit. Pretty sure it's a bit shit now, but loved it as a kid.

I was deciding between this and Labyrinth, loved it.

Have you seen this trailer for the new one, it's got Warwick Davies in it and it's absolutely brilliant:

It's the most Nick pick possibly conceivable in this entire draft.

I haven’t watched either for ages, I’ll have to give both of them a watch and see! But yeah loved them both when I was younger!

It was between these 3 for many fantasy pick and narrowed it down to 2. Willow I absolutely adored as well. I think it might have aged badly now but who knows!

Wait there’s a new one? Didn’t even know

Quite a few of those fantasy type 80s movies haven't lasted the tests of time. Labyrinth suffers quite a bit IMO. Still love the memories attached to it, but I can't really watch it anymore. Willow suffers a similar fate. Goonies I do still enjoy, but DO NOT ever try to introduce someone new to it. Without the nostalgia, it doesn't work either.

Whereas Big Trouble In Little China remains the greatest film in history.

Exactly! That transcends the genre with it's self-awareness. Really wanted it as my fantasy pick before you snatched it for the action one.

Yeah I made the mistake of trying to show someone labyrinth and they just looked at me funny afterwards. You can’t explain to someone what it was like in the 80’s/90’s watching them for the first time.

Don’t get me started on the He-man fiasco which has aged so badly it’s incredible
