Surprised he's gone with Matip. I think it's a good team though given the predicaments. Hope Div is through the middle, if he is I really like it. Shame we can't do much more about the midfield, hopefully we get into a similar lead as we did last time and can make use of the subs.

True but on the other end Atalanta should be able to play through our midfield more easily than Ajax's incredibly slow midfield did. Jones will be better no doubt, but Milner just can't quite cover the ground and slow teams down in the midfield role (compared to other midfielders)

The worry I guess is that this lot have never really started together, which could mean a disjointed performance. For as much rotation as there is in this side though, it’s still got Salah and Mane in it. Either of those are capable of winning this on their own. Hell, Origi on a good day can cause Atalanta major problems.

Would have thought Jota would have started after he tore them a new one in the first match but apart from that team's what I thought it would be. Pleased to see Zapata is not starting as he looked a threat. Looking forward to this.

Think you’re probably right in that it’s likely to be disjointed at times, the result’s all that matters tonight. Just get the win and hopefully no more injuries and move on to the next game
