Leeds United looking at Josh King apparently. They definitely desperately need a striker, and he's an alright one. Again for the price he'd cost they'd -in my mind- be better taking a chance on non-'prem proven.' Leeds also getting linked heavily to Ryan Kent, for £10m. Guess we may finally find out his level.

Leeds have been linked with Rodrigo of Valencia. Good player but struggled last season. If they could get him cheap (and Valencia seem to be selling cheaply at the moment) then he'd be a good option for them. A player who you could see getting 10-12 league goals next season. Having a player up top who can get double figure league goals is a massive help for anyone in the bottom half of the table.

Hope I am wrong about him, it would be great to see a player who developed at our academy go on to have a successful career at the highest level. But he doesn’t strike me as the kind of player who would thrive under a manager like Bielsa.

Agreed, he'd get more money at Leeds and a chance to show what he can do in the Premier League. I feel Kent is one of those Gayle-level players, who'd be very very good in the Championship but not quite quality enough to be consistently good in the Premier League.

Looking at Leeds' squad though, there's a fair few positions where I think they'll need to strengthen in order to stay up. Goalkeeper, Centre Half, Wide Midfielders, Striker. It's a lot of churn unless Bielsa is happy to go much with what he's got.

Chelsea have signed Xavier Mbuyamba (18) - the next VVD don'tyaknow - from Barca.

From what I could find on him, he does actually play a lot like VVD, but it looks like he's only played for their junior sides. He looks enormous compared to the kids he's up against. He's only been at Barca a year, but seems to be leaving on a free transfer, so not sure what's gone down there. Shame, looks like he could have developed well under the tutelage of the big man himself.

so far a horrible summer for Freiburg though    Losing 2 of their best players, but they desperately need the money and they have to sell him now as he only has a year left on his deal.

Very handy player as he plays as much in defensive midfield as he does at centre back these days.

Maybe I am not getting the joke, but Koch is a better central defender than Christensen, Zouma or Tomori. Also, being called up for the German NT recently, makes him a good prospective partner for Rudiger. In any case, if Leeds sign him, they are getting a very good player.

Xavier Mbuyamba is not a starter for the Dutch U-19 national team. It seems that a certain Sepp van den Berg is keeping him out of the team. As for Thiago Silva, I doubt that at the age of 36 he will solve Chelsea's defensive problems. At the same time, they keep spending a fortune on new attacking players. I must say, they have a weird recruitment policy.
