Its a sensible decision by the FA considering our standing in the game from not just within the country, but on a European and world stage. A measly go away fee paid, they accepted as well they should, and to be fair, they're lucky we saw fit to even give them some money. Our standing as European Royalty can not, and will not, be sullied by such minor irrelevances as this trampy family from skid row that won the lottery.

Looking forward to the club playing their home games in Abu Dhabi, should not impact on the attendance figures too much
Attendances figures would go up to 200% capacity plus 25% overlay.

Edit - And what Chopps said.

My cousin works with an Abu Dhabi 'fan' who phoned up the Emptyhad ticket office the other week to see what time the FA Cup tie against Fulham kicked off.

They asked him what time he could get there?

Love the way they have a guy with a pyro on their advert.
Hypocrisy?

More like wishful thinking.
Pyro is irrelevant, it’s passion they crave.

It took a lot of folder digging to find a photo and crop that fucker tightly - so it feels somewhat full of ‘sporting passion’. It’s not like they have a folder of those wide angle shots of the No7 bus. Those surreal compositions with humans hanging from everything, where every face is captured as they are having the best moment of their year. Those photos overflowing with bursts of colour, energy and pure joy, dense like they were painted by Hyeronimous Bosch. That’s what they want. It’s not pyro, it’s what pyro hints at - passion.

But nothing really matters if it’s not earned.

I still want them to do Real Madrid though....

I have to respectfully disagree. I want Real to smash these fuckers so hard, it's like a thunderclap echoing round their half empty stadium, their plastic flags trampled underfoot catching the tears of their sad little fanbase. The immediacy of their success has turned them into whinging monsters from the top down and the last thing we want is them winning Big Cup this season when we've left them choking on our dust in the league.

Just to reiterate, I'm not keen.

I know but.... they do come out with some beauties away from the tinfoil hat inspired conspiracy nonsense.  Such as this, when discussing ground expansion

Ground increase iffy whilst we struggle to fill all games although I think it will lift our gates overall.

So you currently struggle to fill the ground but if you increase capacity it will lift gates???

It's pretty clearly his job. His focus has been on defending Manchester City's owners, specifically, from the beginning.

If you're having to hire 'influencers' to defend the club's owners, surely that should tell said owners that their cunning plan to launder their reputation through football has backfired and simply brought more scrutiny and exposure?

I've just been having a browse of the blue loonies forum, various threads in various sections and the phrase "damaging the brand" frequently cropped up.

What "brand"?  I thought they were a football club not a fizzy drink or a cereal bar.

Man City is exactly that. A brand. A Brand set up as a PR machine to show that whilst Ahu Dhabi are murderous, tortuous human rights abusers, they also have a sunnier side. Which should make all the abused and oppressed peoples go all 'aww bless'.
