Like everyone else, my social media is constantly suggesting I follow some of their pages. Weirdly I get a bit of Everton also. Full on rent a fan policy in action. Both clubs have a 40,000 regular fanbase and I doubt they can grow it despite their marketing efforts.

Haaland is a freak yes and incredible.

But where are all these stats being pulled from? Most goals in first 9 games, first to 15 goals etc.

Yh? The way people make things so black and white on this forum is crazy, it’s either we’re all hypocrites or this forum is full of the most pious people to ever walk the earth.

I’ve seen Richards in real life and he is actually an ok guy, just like I’ve been around Sterling in real life and know some of the things he’s done for his community family and even former Liverpool players(!) and he is probably one of the nicest guys to play for this club although you wouldn’t think that looking from an outside view especially on this forum.

Don’t agree with Richards supporting City but then again I would also like to say many of us on here were absolutely elated when Aguero scored a last minute goal to stop United from winning the title, would be interested to go back on forum posts at that time and see how many people were upset by the fact the team ran by a despotic regime beat our biggest rivals to the title on the last day...

Makes sense on Haaland's part. Unless you're Aguero or De Bruyne, why would you ever make a small club like Manchester City your final destination?

City and Haaland nailed on for the PL this year, just hope Arsenal/Spurs make them take it seriously till spring and help bugger up their CL chances. We can help on that score with a bit of form on sunday.

We talk about our players being run into the ground but would love to see De Bruyne’s minutes. The guy has played through games injured for Belgium a lot and seems to be as good as ever. At some point his level will drop.

De Bruyne is an odd one.  I can only think he's after a champions league and thinks his best chance is with City.
He was let go by Chelsea, and ended up at City via Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg, so probably feels a bit of loyalty to City (and possibly to Pep, even though he didn't sign him). Also, as brilliant as he is, he's quite injury prone so would be a gamble to spend big on him for one final contract only for him to decline quickly (which I think he will after so many miles and injuries).

Oh, and there's also the small matter of money and the 'payments' he'll no doubt get when he becomes a club ambassador when he retires. I think City's wage bill is heavily disguised in an attempt to look sustainable, and payments are probably made to players in numerous other ways which makes staying an attractive proposition. When your boss's boss is a Prince of an oil state then your earning potential is virtually limitless.

It's certainly a strong possibility with that clause.

Depends whether he wants to stay at a club founded in 2008 with dirty money (and zero European titles), or join European royalty and be worshiped by 80,000 fans each week who don't need to manufacture an atmosphere or rivalry.

This certainly feels like one final push by Pep before De Bruyne declines or before FFP finally brings them down. That would make it all the more glorious if they go another 2 seasons without a CL trophy and Halaand goes to Real. I think Pep's contract would also be up in 2024 so it would be ideal timing if he fucked off too, after getting bored of buying domestic trophies. He'll probably go to PSG to buy some more in another country.

City will just throw even more obscene amounts of money at Haaland in order to keep him. Guarantee he signs a new contract well before we get to Summer 2024. His dad will likely collect another £30 million for it too.

Dunno but bring him, Haaland and the man with the most slappable face in football on. Sunday cant come soon enough for me. Stick your Brightons and your Newcastles up your arse, when we're struggling for everything I want a game against bitter rivals to shake us up a bit. Yeah we might get embarrassed or tore apart, but we might not. We might show a bit of guts a bit of passion again and finally wake up. And miraculously City will gleefully tell all that he took a "pay cut" to stay for the "project".

We'll then see Haaland being announced as a Ambassador months later with pictures taken of him to cut the ribbon outside a newly built torture centre.

Can’t wait for them to sign Mbappe for £5m (Plus £500m in add ons if he scores more than one goal a season) on a weekly wage of £20,000 (plus £100,000 per goal, £10,000 per minute played and £10,000 for every blade of grass stepped on) all financed by BetSaudi, their new betting partner owned by Mark Hughes.
