3 questions: why wasn't the penalty given when Matip was headlocked? And, if it was because the ref didn't see it, why wasn't VAR used?
Seriously, what's the point of VAR if it can't even get these things right? If it had been in Europe, then it would have at least be given as a VAR penalty, bit I suspect the referee in said game would be good enough to have spotted it. Time for Marriner to hang up the old whistle.
I think we need an explanation from someone why it wasn't used.
