They should have won something then. They were at their peak in 1999. In other news, Starc is doing a mini-Jadeja for Aussies today.
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored
I'm not buying that duminy has ever been good.
Woakes back, so he'll get 45, 47 and 49th over?
46th, 48th and 50th.
And we had Hollioake, Fleming, Ealham, Austin...those weren’t the days.
He used to be decent batsman. Not world class or anything but a solid player.
Good over from Plunkett.
Not batting these last 3 overs could be the difference between winning losing. Australia may regret this.
That is unreal from Butler
Would be amazed if England let this opportunity slip.
To be fair, Ealham was a cracking player (yes, I am a Kent fan) and holder of the record for a while of best bowling spell in an ODI for England (and still the 4th best ever) of 5-15; and also the 15th best ever of 5-32.
Crosby Nick never fails.
Hmm, in the right conditions maybe! I remember him picking up a few when we beat the Aussies in the start of the 97 Ashes. Maybe he was the pick of that bunch I listed but we had loads of ‘bits and pieces’ (but harsh I know) types. Marcus Stoinis types.
Most teams used to have atleast few of those type of players back in the day. Remember Shane Lee, Brett Lee's chubby brother. Played nearly 50 ODI's for one of the best ODI team of all time. There were also likes of Ian Harvey, Robin Singh.
