It's overly cautious at this point. I think its a mix of being precise and not wanting to fuck it up, while also worrying about Trump's inevitable reaction and what his base will do.

Al Jazeera probably isn't going to call a US election though.

But, yeah, result has been known since Tuesday night/Wednesday early morning US time. Of all the networks who call the US election with any credibility, only one has so far. They're all taking their time and seem to be waiting for it to be beyond doubt before definitively announcing it. It's either that or they're trying to make Fox News call it first and Fox News is still working its way through 'bargaining' in the Kuebler Ross cycle.

That’s not true at all though. The last day and a half has seen Biden take the lead in both GA and PA and maintain leads in NV and AZ. No idea when the states will be called but yesterday was significant, whether the called states changes or not.
