The senior, more experienced players have been the most disappointing. We've got bigger fish to fry and all, but still the lads have to do better than that.

For the love of god change the formation for 433 and please drag either Milner/Sturridge/Shaqiri off please for the love of god.

Milner looks like he trying to play CB/DM/CM all in one, Sturridge is barely able to move around the pitch and Shaqiri not sure what he is trying to do.

At least with the others they are trying to run and close down Wolves.

Not sure you're allowed to say or even think about this but I get the feeling Klopp doesn't mind a loss.

Did Hoever start or come on as sub?

I missed the first 10 mins.
Came on after 2 minutes because Lovren got a hamstring injury.

I think Wolves have been pretty spineless too. Strong team out but taken advantage of one error. If they had anything about them in this half they have bossed our back line after Lovren went off.

Dreadful first half. We can't get anyone outside the back four, but Milner, involved. The ball is constantly with him, Fabinho and Hoever. Let be the forward passes need to improve, but Moreno, Keita, Shaqiri, Sturridge and Origi need to get themselves more involved too.

I’ve been very irritated at the quad of Keita, Moreno, Sturridge and Origi. Perhaps Milner too - though Milner seems to be coming far too deep - probably out of concern for Hoever. Sturridge and Origi showing nothing except terrible passes and a complete inability to hold up the ball. The midfield is non-existant - neither shaquiri or keita doing anything bar one or two good balls all half. Everyone seems a half step behind and just too slow to compete for second balls. They don’t look up for it at all.

Senior players need a massive German boot up the arse, they're doing absolutely nothing and leaving a broken team for the youngsters to struggle in. Starting to think Milner put so much into the first ten weeks of the season that he's fucked himself for the rest of it.

A terrible game.  Wolves only slightly less awful than us.

I think I’d take Jones off and move Keita out to the left.

But the senior players just cant find a pass. Mind you, the pitch seems really really odd.  The ball hardly bounces.
problem is, watching on tv I can't see what our movements like up front when we have ball in midfield. I'm guessing it's stagnant

Meh.

Forwards not moving except to drop to the halfway line to give the ball away. Barely completed a forward pass, everything is sideways and back.

But, meh.

Cracking game!

Our CB problem is causing knock-on issues throughout the team. Would be better if Matip was CB, with Fabinho in midfield and Milner playing higher up the pitch.

ignoring the terrible performance of the strangers out there, something has been bugging me.

Can someone explain the implementation of VAR that this refereeing team have implemented. I thought the whole point of VAR was to get things right?
So the linesman should only flag if certain they are offside and at least twice in this half they have called offsides (at least one for us and one for them) that in real time looked close and after a short replay are clearly onside.
Next if VAR is supposed to correct obvious mistakes, well Shaqiri's shot hits a wolves player on the way out, a goal kick is given incorrectly - clearly on the replay within 20 seconds you can see it - is that not an obvious mistake?

Where is the point in VAR when it is used like this?

I’m not sure what Klopp does at half time.

What the fuck is up with Milner? Awful awful performance. Needless yellow when Hoever had it covered, gave the ball away for the goal and then inexplicably tried to mark the spare man who Hoever probably had covered rather than going to the man on the ball.

Milner is the only player who wants to get on the ball and play football. Jones looks nowhere near ready and Keita is only arsed to run in straight lines. Milner was poor in the Wolves goal, but he's being a one man midfield.

All Moreno does is run down the wing then turn back and go backwards, which is what happened with the goal. Mind you the other senior players haven't done much better either.

What can I say about Moreno - gave Milner a hospital pass which he lost for the first goal - could have put in a great square ball from the byline but tried to shoot - jumped out of a tackle near our pen spot.... Not much is working for anyone but every time I see Moreno he is worth -1 goals.

Jones off for Mane for me, the kid is simply not ready. Mane inexplicably had 15 mins rest on Thursday and we could really use his battling qualities right now.

Sorry to be a broken record but Sturridge and Origi simply arent good enough - can't believe it's 2019 and we're starting a football match with them but we are where we are

Don't really want to get onto individuals because we're playing so badly as a team. I didn't expect a fluid performance given the number of changes but the passing has been horrible and the system doesn't look right. Klopp has a lot to fix at half time if we're to get back into this.

Apart from that I'm now worried about our lack of centre backs with Lovren's injury, although Hoever looks a real talent

What on earth did Sturridge win then? 'Cos he's been a hell of a lot worse.

Thought hoever did ok

Not bad, but they need to have faith in him. Number of times they didn't play a ball to him. Whether it's because he had a couple of iffy moments I'm not sure. He played a good ball to Origi, Origi never even acknowledged it. How is he meant to get confidence with that?
