I thought that was as good as we’ve looked for weeks, if not all season. A bit of rest for a number of our players whilst other sides plough on with the same 12 or 13 starting to make games slightly easier?

42 points, and only 6 goals conceded from 16 games. Wow.

The definition of silencing the noise, this was Mo Salah providing his critics with a death stare, a silent 'fuck you', and a devastating individual performance. It was as much for the watching Napoli, Man United and Man City as it was the ill-informed who have already written him off.

Opposition beware, Salah is pissed, and he's gunning for you. The sound you heard today was a very loud click. Shit is about to get very, very interesting indeed.

I reckon this. He looked like he was struggling with the standards he set himself last season. That was a death stare against all doubters Inc his own demons (or should that be gins?)

Played with Fabinho and Wijnaldum as two sixes, Keita left of the three behind Salah. All played well and played into space very intelligently

Nice performance and looked slick at times.

But joy at another 3 points must be tempered by the fact we've done Man U a big favour in their tough battle for Europa League qualification.

For our second goal.
Hope you all are going to like it. Attached, as image below...   :)

Ahh!! Shit. I reduce the speed of the GIF above during video conversion to GIF format
to get more dramatic effect... But still, the pics frame per second is still too fast.
Feckin Salah, in slow-motion video also still cant get him slow.

Fabolous to see all of the 3 new lads [Keita,Shaqiri and Fabinho] start from the get go, and while Shaqiri can do a lot more than what he displayed today, we payed intelligent patient football and again didn't panic, didn't overexert ourselves, took our chances, pressed brilliantly when we needed to.

Keita played a different role today and did what was asked of him, he has that ability to play in a range of positions for us when needed which is another blessing of having him here.

Firmino involved again which is good to see, Salah with 2 fantastic goals, showing that his quality and ability was never in dobut [some of us have been saying that the goals will come].

Milner doing Milner things, being the ultimate professional whatever is asked of him, he does, no questions asked, ironman. Robertson must have 7 lungs the way he runs and presses and works his socks off.

Van Dijk could have gotten his hair done and still bossed the game as he does. Fabinho with another solid display, Gini as well, all in all we got what we needed without breaking a sweat.

Napoli won their game 4-0 as well and rested some of their players, so the ultimate challenge on the horizon on Tuesday night.

We all played well today, really well, aside from Salah who's third goal was an absolute belter, I loved our midfield with a special mention to Gini who has been boss this season, also loved Alisson's header, he is boss also!

What a day.

Cruised to a 4-0 win, rested some players and Salah got a nice confidence boost with the hat trick.

To top it off, Man City lost to Chelsea leaving us in first and the only undefeated team this year.   On top of that, there was a massive 6 goal swing in goal differential today and we're now only 8 back.

Finally, they aren't really a concern these days, but how sweet is it to see Man United sitting 16 points back of us after 16 games.
Raúl barely had a kick. The nearest he got to greatness was when he shook Gerrard by the hand.   Times - Mar 10,2009.

A great day of results. 3 points, clean sheet, and a 6 goal swing in goal difference on City. Plus Utd won to keep Jose there for longer.

Happy days.

It was exactly the same injury as one that happened a few minutes later that caused one of their players to drop to the floor and get taken off the pitch for treatment. Salah on the other hand tried his best to stay on his feet and slotted one past the keeper. Legend.

Thought Bournemouth were a bit snidey today. The Lerma challenge on Fabinho, Cook challenge on Salah, Lerma on Lallana and the throwing himself to the ground a couple of times in the 2nd half in the hope of conning the ref.

Yeah, they were unusually snide, but thankfully the ref didn't but it today for the most part.

Missed the game today but sounds like we were in complete control. Mentally this must be really tough, Every game is huge but we keep doing enough.

I wouldn't call it a title challenge quite yet, it's difficult to call it one at this stage of the season but we're doing everything possible to put ourselves in a position to do so when that time comes.

I think after the comments and general attention regarding Burnley's shithousery and how "Liverpool don't like it", we'll start to see some teams try to rough us up a little bit. I'd say "I hope so", because we tend to deal with shithouse tactics better than people give us credit for from a results point of view, but I don't want to see others joining Gomez on the treatment table.
