Fearing the worst with Joe Gomez

Really hope it's not as bad as it looks.

Was never going to be easy this, the c*nts look well up for it. There were a few more positive signs as the half progressed but not doing enough really.

Bloody hell. Gomez injury is really worrying. We’ve been bang average aside from Naby and VIrgil. Perhaps understandable with the changes and a bit better in the last 15. Ref allowed Bardsley a couple of shithouse challenges so he’s kept doing it. Matip is putting the fear in me. Looks really sketchy.

Put some decent moves together and Naby looked good.

Cannot get Origi or Sturridge into the game.

We'll need Salah sooner rather than later. We might have to just about sneak this 1-0.

Gutted for Gomez. Him missing even just a few games at this stage is crucial.

Keita the best player on the pitch, Sturridge and Origi aren't really offering anything up front at the moment.

Only 0-0 at half time against the worst team in the league, but on the bright side, there was no obvious change in quality compared to the first eleven.

Hope Gomez is okay..he is the vital cog now...weird team put out today...neither origi or Studge entering the box fastly...very weird game so far..Don't want to see Matip and Moreno in the defense again together..

Hopefully nothing serious for Gomez, he did not look happy though.
Keita getting into the game more as the half went on.
We're still crying out for some creativity though.
Thought Matip has had a poor half but he's barely played lately so possibly not quite up to speed.

Sturridge is so annoying to watch. I am not sure what it is but he had some good moments but the final ball from him has been a bit lazy really.

we haven't been too bad, but first touches have let Sturridge and Shaqiri down. I'd take Hendo out for Fabinho, and give 15 min to the front two: if there's still no goal, put Salah in there.

Think we're playing quite well actually. Against bloody awful opposition, not going lose sleep if they go down.

First match this season that hasn't been on Dutch TV - forgotten how great it was not to have to listen to gobshite co-commentators.

This "stylistic reffing" that goes on really winds me up. Burnley is a shithouse club, so I will let them get away with it. No way we wouldn't have yellow cards already if we put those challenges in.
