It's gone 9.30 now & still debating.

It does sometimes continue considering the gravity of the situation.

Yep, me thinks it'll be another half hour debating, then voting commences, looks like the vote will be announced after 10.30pm, reminds me of the days of the Major government, & the many late night votes then

I don't think Natalie Imbruglia swings that way mate.
If it's true, am all out of faith.

Del Piero and Flint have been long-term morons re: Brexit, though nowt on the fetid land that is wherever Kate Hoey strays.  Full list is:

Stephen Kinnock
Caroline Flint
Sarah Champion
Dan Jarvis
John Mann
Gloria del Piero
Laura Smith
Jim Fitzpatrick
Melanie Onn
Gareth Snell
Ruth Smeeth
Steph Peacock
Jon Cruddas
Kevin Barron
Yvonne Fovargue
Emma Lewell-Buck
Rosie Cooper

Oh and here's the GrandMaster of Gobshiteiness herself.
They are putting themselves above the good of the country, unlike the Tory remainers who appear to be putting country before their own electoral chances.  The great irony is, that if things go as pear shaped as predicted by Brexit, it is  their constituents that will be hit hardest and they will probably get blamed and be voted out anyway.

The big question is though, how will they vote in the main vote, as I doubt this amendment will be allowed by the speaker and even if it is allowed, it's chances of success must be slim.

The danger is that they could abstain and the government could sneak it
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

Kinnock and Co. are at least not opposed to an extension. Also fair that any Brexit has to begin with the WA negotiated by May.

Ken Clarke just schooled JRM :D
Thanks for highlighting that. I wound back to that at parliamentlive.tv. H did indeed school JRM, and I do find Ken Clarke an engaging speaker. But the idea of the UK becoming a vassal state is difficult to take. Only, assuming that Article 50 will not be revoked (directly, or via a new referendum), it beats the alternatives. I would have hoped that the vassal state outcome to be properly highlighted and argued, but some then would be only more encouraged to go for a No-Plan Brexit instead. I am still staggered by the monumental stupidity of it all.

If they're stripped of the whip, does that mean they're technically no longer MPs, even though they were democratically elected by their constituents? Talk about flying in the face of the will of the people.........doesn't it also mean Johnson has zero working majority in the House? Or are they still classed as serving MPs? As I understood it, removing the whip effectively expels them from the party, ergo the first sentence....

Ha, like anyone believes any of that billions of pounds to support businesses after no deal is going to go to crofters in the Highlands.

The Tories have already stolen over a hundered million pounds of EU money that was meant specifically for Scottish farmers.

'tens of billions of pounds' to help businesses in a no-deal scenario.

That's a lie, Gove mentioned a figure of 6.3 billion pounds today. They're just pulling figures out of their arses now.

As soon as it was decided to Leave we were inevitably going to be someone’s vassal state, either the US, China or the EU.

They're still serving MPs, just independent MPs, but Johnson will restore the whip when he realises he needs more votes.

"This means that the Member is effectively expelled from their party (but keeps their seat) and must sit as an independent until the whip is restored."

What is this deal the Tory nutters keep claiming the want.  they keep saying we must be prepared to show were willing to walk away with no deal to get a deal but what exactly do they want, no backstop, thats not a deal, it's a unrealistic demand they know the EU can't agree too.

They're basically holding the British people hostage. They think the EU will back down because they know the catastrophic effect No Deal Brexit will have on the UK, and are fully aware the Tories couldn't give a shit what happens to them.  Any number of Brits are imbeciles who'll Tory even if they have to eat their own cat for supper.

I think they know the EU won't back down, it's not  just about the border it's also about protecting the single market, there is no way it can be done without a border.
It might take our producers five minutes to find 60 economists who feared Brexit and five hours to find a sole voice who espoused it.

I’m torn.

How did people not know that?
I've just realised we aren't discussing Natalie Portman. Small relief
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

There is no agicultural alternative to sheep farming in the Highlands. As said, it will be the second Highland Clearances.

‘The Market’ will fix everything don’t you know?
Thinking is overrated.
The mind is a tool, it's not meant to be used that much.
Rest, love, observe. Laugh.
