Chelsea headed United's way? ;D

Strangely enough, there are two teams that are doing exceptionally well and all may be decided by our visit to City...

Five teams currently way above the usual top four threshold. I think someone is going to miss out on CL qualification this season with a points haul that would have qualified every other season.

City are going to win the league,, to hope for anything else is a delusion. Two things give me hope that they won't achieve PSG/Bayern dominance. Firstly, the rest of the big 6 are too good or too rich. Secondly this run relies heavily on Pep, who will feck off sooner than later leaving them back with the quality of Mancini.

Man Utd could be destined to swap places with Everton on this!

I am amazed we actually had the temerity to turn up for the Champions league quarter final games last season.

Every year we say this, and every year in the end it appears that getting 71 points is enough for CL footy. Trust the model :)
What do Fernando Hierro, Carles Puyol, Philipp Lahm, Andres Iniesta, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Jordan Henderson share in common?

Blimey... we’re going to need a bigger table if united keep on like this...

Both two top teams form is absolutely staggering though
Rotate the page onto portrait mode so can still see them trying to avoid falling off the bottom :-) It makes for highly amusing viewing .

I don't care how many extra lines you need to add to that table... you are keeping United on it okay?  ;D ;)

Love the points won/lost btw. Very good addition

Everton at home following a big PSG game midweek is a tough par 3. Especially in the form that they're in.

Looking past that however, and apologies for stating the obvious but when you look at the fixture list, the Bournemouth and Burnley games really become crucial in keeping the pressure on City. They have to go away to Chelsea over the same period (which despite what the APLT says, in my mind remains a win-win game for us) which as we know is a tough ask for them to take 3 points from that game. A great opportunity for us to press ahead before the intense Christmas period.

If you can't walk in a straight line.... you shouldn't be playing for Liverpool. End of

Yes some big games coming up for the competition. Manchester United v Arsenal on Wednesday and Chelsea v City at the weekend. Can see two teams getting +2 from those on current form.

Arsenal should definitely be going for the win. Chelsea can give City a game. Or maybe that's wishful thinking on my part.

It's a given they will, that's just the odds.  Best chances are away to the other top 4.  Aside from that I think more teams need to copy Lyon's tactics from last week though I question who has the personnel to actually do it.  Granted it also took Pep rolling out a peak Pep type lineup but still they showed it's possible.

Is it possible to add a "(1)" in front of par 1 games' teams' name in the points gained and dropped chart?
Might help to quickly find out how many games we have to gain points.

If you look at the order of the teams, they're the league positions from last season.  The first 12 from the left on the bottom row are par ones.  Does that help?

I don't really want to add info to the chart which doesn't relate to the chart itself as it can confuse people.  That display doesn't have anything to do with the aplt methodology, it's just a different way to illustrate how teams are doing and their remaining potential.

Or you could keep tracking them yourself and post the graph where their line just disappears, bobs back up for a week or 2 before sinking again?

I didn't know that it was set to last years table positions, so it does help. We have quite a few of those par 1's to play. If we continue at this rate 94-96 points might be doable. It'd be amazing if we won it at (96) point total.
