Best keeper I have ever seen play for us, as I never really got to see Clem much. Brucie was great - a bit of a nutter at times, but Alisson is just immense. Love him!!!!!!

side note - this is why we were very worried if he didn't start.

not saying that Adrian wouldn't have made the saves....but he changes how we play and is never going to be as quick off the line as Ali

Very much this. There was far too much of a focus from Ian Wright in particular about how Lacazette should have hit it first time.

Rounding the keeper is a legitimate way to score a goal. The problem for Lacazette was the keeper was Alisson, and of all of his myriad keeping skills, winning the 1 on 1s is one of his finest.

In addition to the brilliant save(s) , I loved how quick he was to come out of the box and boot away a dangerous ball away from Nketiah (I think) . I got worried when I saw the through ball being played, but he just appeared out there at full tilt !

He's got a good 6 days now to recover if it was a slight injury he had. I imagine Adrian 100% guaranteed to start on Thursday.

Lots of goalkeeper would have gone to ground when Lacazette tried to chip over.

Very rarely a goal keeper has no weakness. I cannot remember anyone like that in the history of football.

think he might be the best keeper when faced with one on one. the way he shifts his quick feet for laca shot was amazing.

adrian to start in the cups though. and hopefully he is fully rested to attack no 20.

There’s a very good chance. It’s entirely feasible that he’d been socialising with Thiago and so had to get the all-clear.

Always surprised when I'm reminded of his age - I guess keepers perhaps don't tend to get their break as first-choice until a later age that player in other positions, but this appears to be only his 5th season as a first choice anywhere (2015 with Internacional, 2017-'18 with Roma following Szczesny's departure, and now a third season with us). I guess it's only that first year at Roma that he's really 'missed' but it feels like - for such a talent - he's played less football than I'd expect...maybe I'd be surprised how little others had played by 28 if I compared them.

Regardless, he's great isn't he
