Not sure he could have done anything for the first goal to be honest. From that position once Diop got in front of Gomez he could have flicked it back on to the far post area and I think Alisson was trying to cover that possibility too with his position. In the end he almost managed to reach the eventual near post shot.

Total - 31 clean sheets, 30 goals conceded

I used the Fantasy Premier League website for the data.  He's showing as 9 goals conceded for the season on there, but that includes the goal we conceded against Brighton after he was sent off.

Not that we have any problem players, but Allison really seems to have his head screwed on tightly and his life priorities in order.  He's generally a happy person and I suspect that endears him to Klopp, who is much the same way.  And after we humbled Roma in 2018, Klopp must have had a good chuckle at Allison's "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" philosophy.

Yes, I've also noticed they seem particularly close. Just look at their celebrations in Madrid together at the end of the game.

When I heard he was going to be out for at least the next couple I was gutted, but a bit relieved it wasn't the same injury he picked up against Norwich. Hopefully this is minor/more precautionary.

As if people's heads weren't falling off left right and centre already. 

Huge miss though. As good as Adrian was at the start of the season, there is no replacing the best keeper in the world in providing that absolute certainty at the back. The job against Atletico just becomes that bit harder.

On the plus side, at least Adrian will have had a couple of games starting before Atletico to get back into the swing of things. We can pass off that stinker of a concession at Chelsea as working off the rust. It's not like injuries stopped us in last years Champions League campaign!
