the thing with Robertson is you can see this is his dream club and he gives his best... took his chance and now is n.1 LB for sure.

offers us more - slightly more than Moreno and this is what we need, good competition and squad depth for places... we finally have it after years...

Love this guy. Great to have a Scottish player back in our first 11 and he's doing fantastic. Has marked Bolasie and Sterling out of the last two games.
It ain't what you takin', it's who you takin' from, ya feel me? How you expect to run with the wolves come night when you spend all day sparring with the puppies?

Fantastic again. Absolutely fantastic again.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Missed the game, but saw the run. Delighted for him I really am. Was the chant a simple Andy Andy Andy Robertson? Or was it to Search and Destroy? ;)

It can't be easy to be brought in to help fill a massive YAWNING hole we had a left back, see opportunities drift by a little, surrounded by all these ridiculously high fee'd acquisitions while you were but a bowl of peanuts from Hull.

But I fell for him quite early. Delighted for him.

Fucking dynamite in his last 2 games. Great to see someone take an opportunity by the scruff of the neck and not be intimidated. Good on you lad.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?

He has been consistently good for a number of games now. Solid defender. Doesn't make many errors. Has good attacking output and crossing ability and works his socks off. He looks and plays like 50 million pound player.

Sorted at full back both sides for a decade.Dont be hating on AM though, hes had a great revival this season and has never sulked around the place like some.
Other side is mind blowing with TTA and Joe AND Clyne to come back. One more world class central defender would take us to the next level.

Back to Red Robbo though,he was a fucking machine today.

this lad has it ALL.

I have been saying it week in and week out!!

He's got pace, power, good tenically but more importantly HE IS ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS tactically. His defensive skills and his positioning is just pure class. He never looses his mind, always making the right decision. And this is quite rare for a left back of 23 years of age...I think he can become a massive player for us, a fighter on the picth, what a personality for such a young player! At 8,5 mln pounds, they might as well have gave it to us for free ;D

Nice to see the crowd singing his name, he deserves it all.

Cracking game again today, that run where he decided to chase the whole of the Manchester City team down was absolutely brilliant from a supporters perspective.

Bet Jurgen will have bollocked him though  ;D

He reminds me of a left footed Steve Finnan.

Really solid no thrills dependable fullback who gets up and down the pitch.

Historically we always do well with Scots in our team.

Brilliant signing.

I still can't understand people comparing him with Moreno or people criticising him.  It sounds crazy to me, really.

The lad has been outstanding since coming here, he hasn't done any obvious mistake (if you could please stop talking about his wrong pass against Arsenal, that wasn't the reason we conceded the goal and isn't a big mistake to be honest, it can happen to anyone to make a wrong pass!!).
The guy is 23 years of age, he just came to Liverpool from a pub side (with all respect to Hull) and is playing the way he is, in one of the biggest teams in the world. Credit to him, what a player!

Fantastic player. Along with Van Dijk (and Clyne when he's back), he should one of the first names on the team-sheet in defense. That would be a really solid defense.

Great game. Defence is slowly starting to look really good and yeah when Van Dijk is settled then it'll be much better; although Clyne being a first choice I don't agree with given how well others are playing that role.

Obviously the press was really good but Im really impressed with how well he covers off the shoulder. Few times early on he stopped some through balls in to Aguero when the defence was square; not to knock Moreno but Robbo definitely seems to have a keener eye to how the defensive line moves; as in he seems to be able hold the offside trap and be prepared to cover at the same time. Great lad, hope he keeps it up!

It’s actually a tough call for LB, in a good way. Who would have imagined that in the summer?!
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
