Klopp will also be more frustrated after that than last week, I would have thought - he had words about us dropping our intensity and I imagine he'd be furious that we did it again, this time gifting a draw to a team who offered practically nothing. Honestly, they were shite. I think we really needed to win that one, psychologically - we just don't have quite enough, and I don't think we'll challenge closely unless we buy very well in January. We've got amazing foundations to build on, though.
And although Milner was quality, I do kind of wonder if Moreno has personally offended Klopp, somehow. Say what you like about the lad but he offers width, energy, intensity and non-stop effort and those are all things it feels like we've lacked at times over the last few weeks - we didn't have the energy at the end of that game.
In other news, I though Mane was quality, I love Origi and if he can play with a bit more intensity, he'll be an absolute monster of a player (and I can't see Sturridge staying beyond the summer, somehow, given that Origi seems able to match his scoring and, it seems to me, offers a lot more all round). Wijnaldium was class at times and it felt a bit like we'd used up our luck allowance with Origi's goal. We lacked a little quality in terms of the final ball but also just a tiny bit of fortune, it just wouldn't quite drop for us. 3 shots on target just wasn't quite good enough.
I'm going to re-iterate as well - the stats Sky just flashed up then are why Karius is in the team. He was quality in the second half, and didn't really have a save to make, which is kind of the point, really.
