Looking at their fixtures, they can genuinely do this.

Would be some job from Hodgson too in fairness. Leeds and Brentford both at home next, 4 points minimum needed I think, but definitely possible.

Watford have appointed former Forest Green Rovers boss Rob Edwards as their new manager for the upcoming 2022-23 Championship season.

The confirmation follows Edwards' departure from Rovers, the club he has just led to the League Two title.

Current Watford boss Roy Hodgson is due to leave the Hornets at the end of the current campaign.

Watford were relegated from the Premier League after defeat by Hodgson's former team Crystal Palace on Saturday.

I'd sack Hodgson now if I were them. He he was hired to save them from relegation. He failed, and acted like a shit head to boot. Nothing to lose now.

To be honest, they have no business in the Premier League. London has around 16% of the population of England, and 30% of the Premier League clubs. Adding Watford to that is completely unnecesarry ...

Surprised they’re that bothered. He had the best squad and biggest budget in the division and somehow still almost blew a 14 point lead, requiring Exeter to lose at home on the last day of the season for them to retake first spot.

Watford isn't London or even Greater London.

Interesting looking at that map and seeing how many teams there are from the south/south east. That's a big swing compared to a few years ago when the likes of West Brom, Stoke, Sunderland, Cardiff, Swansea, Wigan, Hull were all parts of the Premier league at some point.

Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham added to the PL regulars (Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Chelsea, Southampton, Palace) means you have half the PL in the south east or on the south coast.

If you went back to 2011/12 there was 8 clubs from the North West (Liverpool, Everton, Bolton, Blackburn, City, United, Wigan, Stoke).
