Isn't Eto'o asking ridiculously high wages? How come "skint Everton can afford 30m for Lukaku and Eto'o's astronomical wages?
Cry more you big fanny
Steady...Mike Bassett
He's a good player, but that's the 10th 30+year old at the club (and Baines turns 30 in December, to make 11).11 players that will struggle as the season goes on and are more prone to injury. The age profile of Everton gets worse every year. There is a reckoning coming and it will be in the medium term, not the long term.
Nice Dixie Dean hair styling there:
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close
Eto 'o is a good signing for them. With Europa league putting all there eggs in Lukaku basket would have been silly. Still need a Barkley replacement though if they are too compete for top 4.

That's the lines I reckon his advisors will give him.« Reply #1814 on: August 22, 2014, 08:22:00 PM »Fuck it I say - get him in. More options, more goals. However, if we could get Eto'o, along with a fully functioning Balotelli, I think we'll give it a serious, serious crack again. Of course there are a lot of new players that need to settle in, which is why we need to get as many points as possible early one.Re: Samuel Eto'o« Reply #1920 on: August 23, 2014, 12:26:31 PM »No news this morning about Eto'o despite supposedly having a medical yesterday.Re: Samuel Eto'o« Reply #1931 on: August 23, 2014, 01:38:52 PM »Got a feeling he's coming here.(peace) you sound like yous didnt want him!!!!
Good signing for them. I like Eto'o a lot as a striker and if carefully managed, should weigh in with a good wedge of goals for them. Will also add some big name stardust to their squad. I would have been happy for us to sign him for a season.
He is a fucking gobshite. Made up he didn't come to us. The quilt
Eto'o's astronomical wages are a myth these days. He was negotiating with Ajax, a team that wouldn't have been offering anything close to astronomical.
Wouldn't have minded him here once we signed Balotelli, not before though.
So what has happened to Arouna Koné?I know he did his knee at the start of last season, but has he still not recovered?
