Twenty plus years of ridiculous success will do that. It'll make it all the more unbearable for them now it's gone though so it's great in that regard

This year is hardly the best estimate when Pep, Klopp's first full season, and probably Mourinho are coming in next year.
Let's see. After watching United's performance today he's been back in touch about the Syria job

Appointing Van Gaal into any role at Anfield would be disastrous. I don't care what his CV reads like, the man is not right in the head and he'd have the same impact as Souness, except within a shorter period of time. Really odd link too given reports that FSG had sounded out Cruyff who recently blackballed Van Gaal from Ajax. What the fuck has happened to the Txiki Begiristain links?

In all seriousness, who can they get that will give them the best chance of success?

Mourinho would likely get them playing really well for 2 years, but then he'll go off like a time bomb.

Giggs? Please.

Pochettino probably won't leave Spurs. He's going to finish 2nd and has set up a good situation.

Simeone? Great manager but would he leave Atletico?

Tuchel needs to win something first at Dortmund.

De Boer would be a big risk.

If I were in their shoes I'd offer a king's ransom to Simeone.

My first choice too and I honestly think he's the best coach in the world when you weigh up the quality of his teams, the quality of his signings, the youth players he brings through, the stability he breeds, and the absolutely awful time every good team has trying to beat them. I don't for a second think he'd come here, but he's the dream.

Attracting players won't be a problem for us as long as we're not going after silly targets like Neymar.

Even at our very best we couldn't get 'galacticos' so no idea why we think we can now. Up and comers and players on the verge.. that's the way.

He'll be off and I wouldn't blame him. I swear I see a look of disgust on his face recently watching us struggle to create a chance.
Get the same feeling about Martial. Reckon he thinks he made a horrible decision. Which disgusts me cause I can't really disagree with him.
Great chiefs and great loves in obliterated light

My first choice too and I honestly think he's the best coach in the world when you weigh up the quality of his teams, the quality of his signings, the youth players he brings through, the stability he breeds, and the absolutely awful time every good team has trying to beat them. I don't for a second think he'd come here, but he's the dream.
Simeone supposedly is learning English. No doubt he's quality.
