Taking that Utd won't be to worried about the transfer fee and wages and that he will only play about 20 Pl games he will be a great addition

Fantastic player

What was the fee and wages ?

Did they get a fee for RVP

Di Maria was superb for the first two months, then his house gets burgled and he loses all semblance of that form.
Best line about DiMaria's drop of form last season was your own RossiBianchi when he said we found out Dimaria was from Westeros when he shat himself when winter was coming.

What was the fee and wages ?

£13.2m and £136,000 per week according to Bild.

Dud they get a fee for RVP

Not much...think I read it was around £5m. That transfer was mostly a wage dump.

He looked like it last season at times but you never know. Top player though and between him and Carrick (despite his age) they will get some great service in midfield next season i think.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

He struggled at times last season in a dominant Bayern side, so it'll be interesting to see how he manages in a much less dominant United side in a league most players say is pretty killer on the legs.

It's like last summer when Man Utd fans thought Di Maria the Champions League winner will boss the league.

I think the main qualm Utd fans should have about this signing is he may restrict the number of minutes Hererra will get and he looked like a good asset for them last season.

Just can't see them making a dent in the top 3 this season.

They looked poor for large parts of last season and who knows what formation Aloysius Paulus Maria "Louis" van Gaal will try and implement next year. They will most likely lose De Gea and will have to integrate about six new players into the team, three of which will be a goalkeeper and two defenders. They also need a couple of strikers and there really is a dearth of top quality ones out there. Like us I can see them being in transition over the next couple of seasons.

I do think Depay looks made for this league though.

Top quality player. Thankfully they've signed him 3/4 years too late IMO.

He will be a good addition to them no doubt. Whoever said it was a terrible signing above has to be on a wind up.

Schweinsteiger isn't there to be some kind of Roy Keane signing, He's there to make sure that man utd's passing game doesn't break down when michael Carrick does. he;s there to provide experience, and leadership, and be Van Gaal's man out on the pitch. That's what Carrick did last season, and united were a different team. He's not going to play every game, and quite frankly I doubt that he will be expected to. This summer is all about signing players that fit van gaal's system, so that it doesn't collapse after one or two injuries. He's not really all that concerned with having a small number of individual stars. but rather having a squad that is able to execute his game plan.

I think this is exactly right. If they could guarantee Carrick would stay fit and be available every week they may not have signed Schweinsteiger but this way they increase their chances of having one person available all season who can run their midfield. For that reason he is a good signing albeit don't be surprised if both if them are injured at times.

Yeah, I think that's the risk they are running. But they'll be hoping to have enough to get them through the times when neither is available. They lost so much experience last summer that they need to add some. They lost ferdinand, vidic, evra, giggs, along with scholes, and fletcher, in 18 months. That's an awful lot of experience all in one shot. We're in a similar position so we've gone for James Milner. We could do with perhaps one more player like this, a bit more like Gary Mac Back in the day, because we have no-one else. Kolo toure doesn't count, because he's simply far too old, and slow to be of any use.

Pretty excellent signing is Schweini, pretty excited to see him in the Premiere League if I'm honest, even if it is for the Mancs. Always been a fan of his and thought he would sign for Chelsea if I'm honest- fear he'll be a shrewd buy, even if his best years are behind him.

Possibly a few seasons too late, but he'll either provide for them what Scholes once did, or he'll be Ballack MkII (albeit for Chelsea).
