You can guarantee someone will turn up in white tie and let the side down.
They're still enforcing the no trainers, 'fashion denim' and collar rule though by the sounds of it.EDIT - @jooney, yeah I've heard a few are thinking along the lines of trying to wear a footy shirt with a collar to get round it, suppose will have to see on the day if can try to use that.
I suggest that we invite Inspector Gadget into the stadium. He'll give us plenty of flags and banners once he is inside.
Just zip your jackets up then take them off. What are they going to do, throw everyone out?Assholes.
They haven't massively increased the amount of police and stewards for nothing.
And you think they have the capacity to remove every fan if said fans refuse to go willingly?Wise up.
Of course they do, as not everyone would do it for starters, and others would cover up again as soon as the police came around.
You sound like a crowd of eunuchs.
You sound like you've never been to an English stadium.
I've spent many a quid going. Maybe you'd benefit from coming over to Belfast. The football is shit but we could teach you a few things about standing your ground :-)
Meanwhile, Palace fans have been raising funds to do a massive display of some sort. It doesn't sound like their banners will be off limits. http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=251813Surely that's an equality issue?
Was sent out on their official press release but the banner/flag issue seems to of got all the coverage which is a bit surprising but I suppose is the one to get the fan's backs up most.
Can I ask where you've seen this official press release?
Work.
Can I ask where you work?
You can ask, but then you'll just keep asking a load of questions until I can provide a picture of me (with 7 fingers) holding the press release and giving you a big grin. Which I'm not gonna do as more than my jobs worth to be honest!
OK then... Was just curious as if there had been an official press release concerning a Premier League match that said fans were not allowed to wear trainers or T-shirts, I'd think it would get picked up and reported somewhere in the media, seeing as how 90% of fans probably wear one of those items to matches. You've stuck to the story admirably but this has to be bullshit...This is like the transfer forum all over again, I don't know who to believe any more!
Three words to you and many more.....gullible gullible gullible.
i watched the chelsea game at my sisters. her 12 year old son is severly autistic and i forgot myself and jumped up screaming at the goal and he went nuts. screaming and shouting. scared the fuck out of me. apologised to my sister as i thought id upset him, turns out he was joining in.
We'll need 13 fans for Make us dream. Obviously if someone goes for a piss the message will be slightly wrong
The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
Does anyone seriously believe that Palace have got some sort of dress code in place?
Yeah, it would be horrible if the letter "d" had to leave.
We may sign Salah, but I'll show my arse in the middle of town if we sign one of VVD or Keita. Not gonna happen.
yes they do, Andy - NO cricket tops or cricket-related clothing allowed.hee hee
Hearing the Palace CEO (one who tweeted about the flags yesterday) has done an interview with someone regarding their decision to have a dress code, not sure if its for their official site or some other website but will hopefully be out before the game so people can see its actually real and not get caught out at the stadium.
You're right, i've seen the interview. In fairness to the board at CPFC though they also stated that a perimeter cordon would be set up around the ground to check the dress code, if your 'attire' isn't up to scratch you'll be knocked back. On the plus side, there'll be an old style 'pay on the day' queue set up at the cordon for the best dressed waiting list. You've been warned boys, if you don't turn up in your best clobber don't come complaining back here.
Is it true that they have guest list though ? I have only read random tweets on this subject and someone was saying he was going to be fine because he knows the DJ. Are Palace one of those clubs that play music after every goal ?
