BR and Flanagan to get slaughtered if we lose this match

only by gobshites...which doesn't really count
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

Flanagan is better than McLaughlin defensively at this stage, that's probably why Brendan has him ahead of Ryan.

No he is not.

BR obviously feels Flannagan will offer something more than Kelly and has probably coached the rashness out of him and some class in to him. He can still win guys!

This. Get behind the lad/team and stop moaning you feckers.

Because he's playing wing back and not right back. Flanagan is better going forwards.

Not sure if you're serious, when has Flanagan ever been good going forward? I thought that was his biggest hinderance aside from his lack of pace and bad positioning

I have to say this is the weirdest decision I've seen Rodgers make since he's been here. Agger and Kelly on the bench and Flanagan comes from no where, he must have been bloody amazing in training this week

He's better than Kelly going forwards to be honest.

Also perhaps the manager doesn't think Coutinho is ready to start this game, and this decision is better than putting Henderson right wing back and starting Coutinho.

Trust the manager - if he feels that Flanagan is the best we have for the right wing back role for this particular game, then we should trust him to get it right - he has got it right all season so far, and we know Rodgers isn't afraid of making ballsy moves.

I don't think Kelly is mobile enough to play 90 as a RWB - he'll just break down, I can only really see him getting games at right back and maybe centre half.

Johnson injured, one of our squad replaces him at short notice. Big whoop you bunch of fannies, I'm off to the pub.

Okay, I rest my case. Won't comment on Flanagan until after the game. All these people currently being so defensive will probably crucify Rodgers if he plays poorly.
are you sure that's not putting you out, I mean we wouldn't want to put a stop to you slagging off a young player before he's even kicked a fucking ball today would we

Really panicking now seeing Flanagan in there, fair enough having Cissokho in there as the neat and tidy wingback who won't bomb on, but Flanno in there aswell means we will have ZERO attacking support out wide.

I'd have Kelly, Hendo and McLaughlin in before Flanno, sorry but he's bang average, Ozil/Carzorla will eat him alive.

I didn't say he was Messi, I just said he was better than Kelly. It's also not a 4-4-2 so he'll be sitting ahead of the defence. He'll need chances if he's going to make it here, let's give him one eh?

And yet he's getting a game for the second-placed team in the Premier League.
