There was a moment in the 2nd half where lennon was tearing down the left hand side, looked up, saw Sakho waiting for him about 10 metres ahead, and immediately passed it back to our midfield

He has everything that Agger does, but more, in my opinion.

Like Agger, he reads the game well, is mobile and good on the ball. But unlike Agger, he has a power and presence about him that can dominate any forward.

Needs a run of games and I'm convinced he'll be talked about as one of the best in the league.

Yeah thought he did well but there were a couple of occasions he got caught in possession which could have been costly. Certainly the one early on when he over ran the ball on the half way which put himself and Flanagan out the game. Paulinho broke with the ball but played a sloppy pass but it could have been a lot more damaging.

He's an incredible defender. And a brilliant footballer too.

Loved his little backheel to Flanagan in the box. 100% our best centre back.

Insanely made up with Sakho. Can't believe we got someone of his quality without being in Europe. He's instantly become one of my favorite players. So good on the ball. And his passing is even better. He has one or two tiny lapses in a game, but those will be sorted with a bit more time in this league.

So calm in possession, always looking for the pass not the hoof. It really helps us on the counter, bypassing the pressure.

they let him go because his age was too low, so as his wages .. apparently PSG has a wage min play need to reach...

Yup. And when you have that much money, you can afford unnecessary minor "upgrades." I guess their net spend on bringing in Marquinhos and selling Sakho was ~15m, which they wouldn't mind. It makes you wonder why Ancelotti never fancied him, however...

yes agree, but then 18m (right?) for a player on bench at PSG on the last day of transfer ........ we hv done fair of few of those deal in recent history, caused fans (me included) a bit of a worry ..

Just how good is sakho???

A couple of times in the game he intercepts the ball before the danger becomes more imminent. His positioning is perfect and we are not talking about his strength, pace and power yet. If he stays this good and consistent, Rodgers will have a major headache on how to fit all the central defenders we have into the team.

His presence in the opposition penalty box is a major issue for opposition defenders as well. Unlucky to have hit the post today. If that went in, it would have been 2 goals in 2 games. Suarez who
