Eurosports says media sources estimate the deal to be wirth 300 million over 6 years, which would double the Warrior deal.

I like that mocked up kit on this page (would be the first new kit I've liked in ages) and I like doubling our money (if true). Happy days.

The very first Warrior home kit was great, pure red, simple design, I still wear mine, and will do until there's another nice home kit.

That was the last kit i bought too, the kits since then have been poor

I wonder if Eurosport are pulling the figure of £300m from the time the previous deal was announced, where Ayre said that the fact the Warrior deal allowed us to produce our own branded stuff outside of the kits/training gear, as well as run our own stores and online store (neither are possible under deals with the likes of Nike and Adidas) that the deal was worth double the £25m a season Warrior paid to us.

How does the new deal differ from the old deal, it was also claimed LFC could earn 300 million over 6 years when they initially signed the deal with Warrior. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/jan/19/liverpool-kit-deal-warrior-sports1

Everyone seems to agree that it is a 'record' deal for Liverpool - so that suggests we are getting more than from the Warrior contract. But the fact they've not put a figure on it, suggests it's not a lot more money. Perhaps the original contract was just index linked and therefore, technically, we're getting more money?

300 million for 6 years is a fantastic deal commercially,Billy Hogan and the commercial department have done amazing work the last 36 months.

Pretty much blows away the 10 year kits deals Arsenal and Chelsea deals recently signed.

Still a little dubious if it's gone up to £50m a year. From the sounds of it we can also carry on producing our own range of items and keeping control of our own stores/websites too so is worth even more to us that way - Ayre valued that are approx £25m when we signed with Warrior, so although it may of gone up a little we can assume it's at least this amount, so would give a total deal approaching what United are getting off Adidas.

Would dwarf Arsenal's new deal with Puma (£30m/season until 2019) and Chelsea (£30m/season until 2018).

I'm very dubious. As I said previously, if it was a significant increase they would've put a figure on it. The fact they haven't suggests we're not getting that much more money.

Main difference seems to be the deal to sell the kit in all NB outlets worldwide. Looks like they've changed over and signed an extension at a higher rate from the various official statements. Exact length and cost may well be confidential for the time being.

Got a question, are player issue numbers bigger than the ones you can get in the club shop or are they the same size. Never bought a shirt with a name on it, want to get Sakhos but they look so small on the shop site when you personalize it. If that's the case is there a place to find the real size numbers/letters?

Thanks in advance.

If you go for the PL style (you can also get the clubs/warrior style lettering/numbers) then fairly certainly they are the same as the match day ones.

Arsenal and Chelsea get £5m more a year than us, however this is for EVERYTHING. Kits, training gear, hats, bags, all of it. The manufacturers control the sale of all that stuff and take their cut.

All Warrior/NB produce as part of this deal are the kits and training gear, we produce the rest of the stuff ourselves and control all our own stores and online shopping portals.

The only club in the UK who get more than us is United, and their Adidas deal is just ridiculous to be honest.

I think the figure being floated in the media isn't accurate, sounds like we are trying to make some waves / drum up more interest in our efforts to gain sponsorships i.e. Warrior was succesfull so NB came in and invested heavily..

From the Echo

“We are thrilled to announce this sponsorship of one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, which is a record-breaking deal for the club,” said Liverpool’s chief commercial officer Billy Hogan.

James Pearce in the video clip states that this new deal is an improvement on the existing deal. But maybe he's misinterpreting Hogan's statement.

I read it was UP TO £300m over 6 years. So there's probably a basic £30-35m per year deal plus addons depending on whether we make the Champions League, how high we finish in the PL and/or if we win any trophies.
