Gutted for Federer, you'd have to think he won't get many more chances to win slams now. Well played Djokovic though, recovered very well from losing 5 straight games in the 4th set.

Delighted Novak's won a slam after that hideous 1-5 in the last few years at slam finals. Kudos to Federer for a fantastic match.

Djokovic's speech at the end was pretty great.

Well done Novak, it was a great final to watch.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

Those 5 games in a row from Fed in set 4 were quite ridiculous. He was striking the ball as cleanly as I've ever seen really. Great fight.

That's been said for how many years now? In fact, he may actually have more of a chance as the miles start to catch up with the likes of Nadal, Djokovic and Murray, who now are no longer 23/24 year olds, but around 27/28.

The HC slams will be too difficult with Nadal and Djokovic IMO, but if he keeps his fitness up and keeps this serve volley routine going, I think Wimbledon next year will be a very good chance. Still, quite comfortably the best mover on grass.

I kind of agree with what you're saying. Nadal and Djokovic have already started to decline, and with the nature of their games, their decline (IMO) will be quicker then Federer's. There is another final in him for sure. Its perilous to write off a guy like him, may even go into beast mode and pull out a HC slam.

Thought Fed had it there when he stormed back in the 4th. Feel sorry for him but well played Djoko too. I take the Piss out of him but he's clearly a decent bloke and after all his final defeats of late he needed that.

Therefore at the top of their game, instead of declining like Roger.

Wawrinka's never going to be Mr.Consistent like the big boys. But my god when he brings it, that backhand is o fucking beautiful. Like in Australia. I'm just delighted he won a slam, awesome player.

Yeah its a real shame. The way Roger is finding form and Djokovic's game is crumbling he might be equal favourite this slam. Still wouldn't be surprised to see Djokovic slug his way to the championship though.
