Southampton have battered Newcastle today, could have been five. Its finally starting to unravel for Pardew like I knew it always would, he's been a lucky manager, part of the reason why he's so annoying is he doesn't realise it.

He got lucky in terms of injuries last year as he kept the team fit for long periods. He's been unlucky with injuries this year. I think he's a decent manager and has built a good first team at Newcastle, there's just a lack of depth in the squad.

Southampton are actually decent, would treat them with caution next weekend.

Is it beginning, already?

Is that all? I seen some journalists call the athmosphere "posionous",but all it was a few boos and some half-arsed A4 paper signs.

The game in England is so sanitised.

What bigger clubs?

All of the big teams have managers and any who would be changing managers in the near future won't be after Rafa (ie United, Arsenal etc)

That would require Abramovich to admit fault. Can't see that happening.

A thought just occurred to me. Did many or any teams in England play 4-2-3-1 before we did it? I always felt that formation was to put Masch and Alonso and Gerrard into a formation.

Every team seems to play it now.

Agreed. I fully expected (and still do) for the wheels to come off during Pardew's reign at Newcastle. He's done a good job, but he never seems to be able to achieve long-term success at a club.
