This programme needs a complete overhaul. New presenter (Lineker is too smug), new commentators (I can't stand J. Pearce for example), new analysts who can yer know, analyse and some proper balance.

I'm completely fed up with its pantomime portrayals and shallow, vacuous commentary. Frankly the game deserves better.

They spent more time cracking jokes with Kompany rather than actually analysing the games.
Must admint Cesc is a great prospect new him before he went to Arsenal, same with Pique(now at ManU) and Messi also from Barcelona. Watch out for these guys in the future look very good.

Get him in the scouting team ASAP!

The commentator was fine. Only thing was the Suarez 'stamp' and to any neutral it would look bad. I wish he'd cut that out. And if flying Martinez for a meeting with John henry isn't an approach, then what is?

There was also the commentary which made it sound like Watson's injury was all Sterling's fault rather than the complete freak accident it actually was.
There was also the shite commentary for the goals. You could have been forgiven for thinking that Suarez scoring was a bad thing for Liverpool the way it was described.

If he does need to cut it out, it's because it gets highlighted more because it's him

While I agree that managers and media are giving him a rough ride, he needs to cut it out for one reason - because it's an ugly, shitty thing to do. He could cause a career ending injury to another player. If you're so partisan that you can defend that then there's something wrong.

So, according to MOTD, Martinez turned down the offer to manage Liverpool, because he wanted to continue his success story at Wigan. Where do they get their info from?

Martinez himself. He said it in a presser. Even though we deny this that has to be taken as a legitimate source tbf.

Suarez with the assist though.

You could then argue that if Suarez touches the ball or makes a pass in build to a goal we should not count them either. Gets a bit silly doesnt it ?

It's a ridiculous stat. Like saying utd without rvp would be in the bottom half. Bollocks. Basically the same utd team finished second without him last season.

When will English commentators realise they sound like utter knobs trying to pronounce names with a foreign accent.

Sorry but I fucking hate this. His name is pronounced Cathorla, so why should they not pronounce it correctly. Should they just butcher his name and pronounce it how they want rather than what actual name is...

Even when Suarez scores 2 goals, they show his 'dark side' for a mistimed challenge. Give me a break :butt

Also the game being shown last was absurd.

Both yesterday's and the Distin tackles were completely innocuous and accidental.

If you want 'ugly, shitty things' you should take a closer look at the deliberate and (potentially in the Huth case) life threatening, net alone career threatening, fouls committed AGAINST Suarez

Very poor show last night - despite having plenty of cracking games to hand.

Cant stand Lineker..with his snide little comments and sniggering boysclub...the best MOTD's recently have been those fronted by Gabby Yorath
who manages to tone down the unfunny macho bollocks in the studio...and keeps the toecurling banter to a minimum

The standard of commentating has also plummeted...Pearce is a complete and utter embarrassment...and as for the piece of cheese who covered our match - it was so obviously a stitched-on-after-the-game effort because they couldnt be arsed having an actual commentator at Anfield ...but did he have to make it so obvious?

Tonight's episode featuring the 'El Clasico' between Fulham and Sunderland with a skipful of padding from Mr Loverman is about as appealing as an 'At Home With Piers Moron' 2 hour special.

Count me out
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.
