But as soon as he came on he provided three pinpoint balls through the CC defence that were exactly what we had been missing with our incessant floating crosses to no one but Carroll surrounded by 3 CCFC defenders ...

Yeah he was wonderful and big credit to Kenny for the timing of the substitution too.

There's no one in the current team that deserves medals and trophies more than this man I think.

He's been a great servant and has been a fundamental part of our best football under Rafa in the last 6 years. The Carling Cup is the least he deserves.

Good professional and I'm absolutely chuffed for him.

Love the man! So happy for him that he got the goal (another important one for us!!) and then hit a vital, vital penalty - shows what a Don he is when the pressure is really on! Mostly importantly, glad he final got a winners medal with us and God willing, will have more soon!

I have criticised Kuyt on a fairly regular bias on ver the years but i admit I was praying for him to come on and replace Carroll today, he's is wonderful in big games, I'm delighted for him.
