Thanks for your contribution mate - for what it's worth I think you're wrong. Or as you so eloquently put it, I think you're talking through your arse.

so you think a player who's back after being banned for 9 games would, after being on the pitch for all of 10 mins - willfully and deliberately and for no reason whatsoever, volley an opponent in the guts - in full view of the ref?

In your opinion of course, for me he always had eyes on the ball.

Nah, he went and kicked the whitest guy on the pitch just to prove that his diversity training has really worked ;)

Seriously people, it was silly, but I highly doubt it was deliberate - none of the Spurs players reacted at all.

Should have gone to SpecSavers mate.

I have it  ;D It was accidental and the yellow was harsh but someone on here called it when they said its probably because of pressures of the "current climate" that Suarez is in due to the hypocrities of the English FA and the media

On a lighter note that cat must have escaped from Carl's garden and I bet one of the stewards scared him off the pitch by mentioned Billy's PDF.

We did pretty well but once again our finishing cost us points. That said, we reduced a very good Spurs team to one meaningful chance on goal (thankyou Pepe!), took the game to them and they were happy to play for a point with the hope of catching us on a break.

Our final ball wasn't the best and the few really good chances we created were fluffed basically. Plenty of positives - Adam defensively (not so good loking forward tonight), Stevie getting back to something like his old self (starting position helped naturally), Carroll had a good game, defence were superb, bellamy was played well by walker but always looked to be a threat, jay did a good snuffing job and Luis returned.

I would've like a bit more tempo but you have to credit Spurs with making it very difficult for us by loading up the midfield, with the central midfield, centrebacks and walker playing particularly well, i thought.

As a work in progress we're getting there, couldn't really fault much about the way we played apart from the final third but that's been the story all season, altho with carroll improving game by game and luis being back I'm hoping we can get that part right on the run in.
Losing your only chance of silverware this season to your city rival. At home. With the most expensive squad ever assembled.

He meant to kick something. The ball. But it wasn't a deliberate foul.

You can see their point though. I mean Scott Parker is the bravest man in the history of man kind and his gigantic balls of steel obviously confused Suarez who got completely gobsmacked that only one man can possess such strength and had to see if he was in fact real or just some angel sent down from the heaven to lead the good fight for all things true and decent.

What are your reasons as to why you think it was an accident, and why are you so aggresive about it?

Because he went for the ball, dangerous play granted, but nothing malicious at all, you could tell that by his reaction.  I'm aggresive because its all we're going to hear about for a few days and Im bewildered that anyone who actually watches the game considers it anything other than misjudgement.

i think in my response to bale getting two yellows..one for the push and one for the dive. I think Agger also deserved a yellow for standing over Bale and letting him have it. You can't do that (even thought it's done all the time). The ref chickened out of sending Bale off which is why he let him away with the push on Agger. He booked him for diving, not the push.

Watch that again. He made a meal of Agger's going for the ball. Saw him doing it a few times- even against us. I saw a few tweets and postings on facebook from Spurs fans saying they don't like it when he does that.

Just my opinion.

Saw the reply on sky after the match and it looked clear and I think he needs to cut that type of shit out as we are meant to be cleaning up his image.

Love the guy, loved it how Dalglish said he shouldn't have be banned in the first place, but I'm not going to defend him for the sake of defending him - I thought it was a clear and uneccesary kick on Parker.

That explains a lot.
If there was any intention from Luis he should of been sent off. He wasnt so no intention.

At a game played at pace, sometimes misjudgments happen, particularly when you're returning from a long layoff. It looked to me that Luis anticipated that the ball would drop where he wanted, timed it and went for the volley. We're talking times of less than a second here, so even if he wanted to stop the swing by the time he realises it's parker's stomach instead of the ball, that's not happening.

If there was any intention from Luis he should of been sent off. He wasnt so no intention.

I think he had his eye on the ball the whole time and he believed the ball was landing in front of Parker.  I don't think Parker had done anything to wind him up that would cause such a reaction and credit Luis with a bit more intelligence!
