Considering the majority of the 9/11 attackers were Saudis who received money and support from Saudi Arabian assets then this is a pertinent question well before the purchase of Newcastle. Personally think we've been getting the short end of the stick of this relationship for a while now and it's accelerating with MbS now in charge. America is the biggest reason why the world is fucked up. Ask the Iraqi people, millions of innocent people died for no reason other then greed. Other countries like the UK didn't shy to to help too, how much did the UK based companies get from contracts for reconstruction work in Iraq ?

They've only got a couple of players of that level. They'd need to spend an awful lot more to reach that level, look at what Man United and Arsenal are spending to try and get back in the top 4 with a much stronger squad to begin with.

Howe has been getting a lot more out of them than what's there on paper.

Isak and Guimares are certainly a good start though. Chris Wood, Dan Burn, Nick Pope and Matt Targett not so, beyond bottom third of the PL.

It’s probably too late for anyone like that who would want to buy us. Not that I’m complaining. I don’t want to be a sportswashing vehicle.

It would cost so much to buy us. It makes more sense to buy a club with a decent sized ground in a big city for cheap and then throw money at the squad. Birmingham City, Leeds, one of the Sheffield clubs would be good targets for the ambitious despot. You could even buy one of the smaller London clubs.
