Same here..will always be the old & new tunnels, my kids (now adults) are on to it too & also use the new & old term.
They still can't get their heads around using ten bob tho', not a scouse thing but one oldie that I still use day to day.
Used to use that at a match too when a player would skew a header off target.."he's got a head like a ten bob" or just ten bob 'ead.
As youngsters we'd often cycle to Llangollen & camp, we used to do Rhyl & back in a day too..like SoS we'd jump the ferry across.
Whenever we got the ferry or went thro the tunnels we also used to say we were goin abroad.
