Watched the pilot episode of new Scandie crime thriller 'Valkyrien' last night on C4.
The usual brilliant and intriguing fayre from our Scandinavian friends, but this time from Norway.
Set in Oslo, 'Valkyrien' centres on a Physician who runs an illegal, underground clinic in an old bomb shelter, where he treats criminals, emergency patients, and others who can't or won't seek medical help in a regular hospital.
When the hospital he works at flat out refuse to sanction the breakthrough treatment that could cure his dying wife, a savvy physician abandons his job in anger and goes about trying and generate money to finance his own research for a cure.
After the pilot episode our hero is already getting in deep and involving himself with some pretty unscrupulous characters.
Actually typing all this out you could be forgiven if it looks like this is a Breaking Bad Rip-off. I suppose it does have similarities but the vibe is altogether different.
Anyhow, after the pilot it stated the rest of the series was available on ALL4 box-sets but I can't seem to find it on my SKY system and want to watch more in HD. Can someone please take a quick look and see if I'm just being thick and can't see it for looking.
