what a stupid decision
if you wanna be the best you gotta beat the best

I'll make two predictions of this...Carroll won't score 3 PL goals total for the rest of the year and we won't score 5 against any team all year.  We might still get CL football without either happening.

Probably sorted ages ago, would explain why they limped to the end of the season, players didnt give a fuck because he was gone come the end of the season.

Yep didnt consider that , probably a fair assumption mate.
Feel for the man but he deserves better than that shower of cockney c*nts, although he should of walked over that Wilkins shite.

No. He's viewed in a much better light here than he is elsewhere. I reckon they'd have to be knocked back loads before they looked to Rafa. Like it or not the perception is of someone who fights the board, hasn't won anything in years and is a defence-minded coach.

Whether that is the case or not that's how he's viewed in the main and certainly by Chelsea fans.
Yeah that was kind of my point.

I like Ancelotti BUT any man worth his salt would of resigned the minute they sacked Wilkins.

Dont give a fuck about those shithouse c*nts but its laughable and will never win them the CL.

Why was Wilkins sacked?
Also, ancellotti would have been crazy to quit, in terms of cash and he's fucked abramovich more as they were flying at the time and then didn't win for six or seven. Ancellotti effectively went on strike, same as Torres when Rafa was sacked.

I was hoping Rafa would get the man city job when Mancini fucked up but shockingly RM turned in a decent season.

I think 16/1 at VC is a good bet.
Not a good club for rafa but there aren't many top jobs going. Unless madrid or barca have vacancies this summer.
Villas boas would be nuts to go there so early in his career.

I can understand Roman's decision. ManU was nothing special all season long, and Chelsea had a better squad in the summer. They further strengthened it, but Chelsea was awful. Grant has done a better job than Carlo.

You're a moron. I mean I don't know what else to say to that bit.

And Chelsea were pretty much running away with it before Abramovich decided he'd been quiet for too long.

They went out to the winners last year and possibly again this year.

You know what's amazing about Chelsea's record in Europe? Every year since Abramovich they've got out to the winners or the runners-up.

Monaco - Runners Up
Liverpool - Winners ;D
Barcelona - Winners
Liverpool - Runners Up
Yernited - Winners
Barcelona - Winners
Inter - Winners
Yernited - ?
Still they were pretty useless in those games.

What a load of shite.

Chelsea played great football last season and early part of this season. When Wilkins went and Roman bought Torres thats when it all went wrong. The man has the best form record in the league, yet its still not good enough. Joke of a club.

Complete and utter dickheads. Clueless. Haven't known a club like it. Are Abramovich and Mandaric in competition or something. I hope they get relegated next season.

What a shite, if unsuprising decision.

Always liked Carlo, would love him to manage here one day. I reckon he'll go back to Roma and win em the Scudetto along with 'King Totti' in the first season.

Chin up Carlo. You were always too good for that shithouse joke of a club.

rubbish, the catalyst for their decline was Roman intruding and sacking Wilkins and rubbing the team and Carlo up the wrong way.

If Lerner sacked Clarke, and Kenny was stranded, im sure it would have a similar effect.

Chelsea's two biggest players over the last 7 years have been Lampard and Drogba. It's no coincidence their poor season coincided with them two suffering alot of injuries. Abramovich brought in two big-name signings, one of whom, was not Ancelotti's choice. That definitely disrupted things, as there was pressure to play Torres when he shouldn't have been near the starting X1.

This will be Chelsea's 7th manager in 4 years. Astonishing.

Everybody knows that Torres was Abramovic's signing.

Now if they hadn't of signed him, I reckon they would have done much better with Drogba and Anelka (maybe with Sturridge staying as well) as their partnership works better than either of them with torres.

I think tension was caused by the Torres signing and obviously the Wilkins sacking.
