A year to the day since the most brutal terrorist attack on a bus in human history.

One year on and the memories are still raw. Thinking of everyone effected at this difficult and emotional time.

Thoughts and prayers are with the poor poor bus, rest in peace my friend.

"Do we go?" whispered Chief Constable McScallybastid of the Merseyside Police. In the monitor-lined bunker deep beneath Anfield, Klopp and Dalglish exchanged unsmiling glances.

Mike Gash of the World Football Governing Cartel nodded gravely on the jumbotron. "Go."

"Operation Kopparberg is live," said McScallybastid, taking off his hat and wiping his neck. "May God have mercy on us. Godspeed, Michael."

Michael Oliver cracked his knuckles. Testing his fake paunch one final time, he slipped the latex mask of a generic Liverpudlian bindipping bastard over his lean face, felt the weight of the cider bottle in his hand and glanced up at the secret map of the luxury coach's route.

"I'm fookghen reddy larrrrgh", he said.

Was having a laugh in the Spurs thread about their financials but then I saw that we are listed to be paying a higher wage bill than City and this does not sit right with me.

Can someone explain how this is - apart from them just outright lying about their wages...

Well on Bluemoon right now on the Liverpool thread they are in raptures at how they are behind us and United in wages, they seem to have ignored how City have put 450 employees on wages spent on their turnover, whereas our wages are for 800 people.

They also seem to forget how they created another companies house to divert wages to in Mauritius that is used to pay off former managers and their staff (Mancini and Pelligrini are still being paid off  :D) and another company house on a tax haven island in the carribean run by a Tory Donor, where they divert a chunk of the players wages and Image rights to.

City are the only club in the world with the ability to  have wages go down after Pep spent the GDP of Tanzania in 3 windows before this season on 2 goalkeepers and 6 defenders and Gundogan £184k a week and also handing out new contracts to Sterling and Silva  at 300k a week and Aguero £346k a week.

Right, ok this make much more sense. I was struggling with the fact that Pep spent more than most nations do on national defense on his new defenders yet their wage bill is so small.... Thanks for clearing it up. I don't suppose that anything can be done about these reported false figures by the PL, UEFA, or FIFA?

Come on, some good journalism from the likes of the Guardian or someone similar could shed some light on the whole affair by pulling the curtain down and exposing the Great Financial Fraud/OZ.

Ideally Spurs will also have to show increased wage spending due to all the Over Time on Labour for the new Stadium?

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/manchester-city-hid-40m-off-wage-bill-lnhc90fcn

Quote
"Manchester City set up a secret scheme named “Project Longbow” to overcome Uefa’s financial fair play rules, which appears to have wiped up to £40 million off the club’s wage bill, according to new leaks. Documents obtained by the German magazine Der Spiegel seem to show that City used the scheme to conceal payments from the club’s owners, the Abu Dhabi United Group.

The leaks have led Spanish league chiefs to call on Uefa to take action against City and to warn that they will complain to “EU competition authorities” if Uefa fails to act.

The scheme was named after the weapon that the English used to beat the French at Agincourt and appears to have been related to City."

Must be depressing watching us always do it.

There’s got to be a psychological edge to it.  You’d get a little bit resigned to us always finding a way.  Let’s hop it starts to tell.

“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”

Every Liverpool fan I know found a way to watch tonight, a really long trip especially for the travelling Kop on a Friday. Compare that To the empty seats at their stadium during the week, and the fact they can’t even sell out their allocation at a Wembley semi-final.

What an embarrassing club. All that money and no soul whatsoever.

I think it probably suits city that they are playing in the cup this weekend.

Seeing us drag ourselves back might have put pressure on them in a league game today.

Be really nice if they go out the cup this weekend too, then the pressure mounts even more on next weekend, as they can be a game away from losing one trophy, and having another out of their hands.

If you think about it, they're one foot from greatness, but at the same time they're one foot from being the biggest laughing stocks since... fuck knows.

If Brighton do some magic today then theres a very real possibility that these fuckers end up with just a league cup trophy when they were on for the quadruple in April!

No want City to win today but want it to be tough, not a walk in the park. Hopefully with extra time. The reason being is they have Brighton away last game of the season, the week before the Cup Final. If Brighton are in that, they rest players.  Same reason I want Wolves in the Final, so they relax a bit against us last game
