I know the city players earn more than our players, win more etc. But there must be a hint of jealousy that their fans are shite compared to ours and deep down city is a tiny petrodollar club.

I keep wondering that. They must come out onto Anfield and just know their club could never ever generate support and an atmosphere like that.

He could go with Gabriel Jesus and Aguero in some kind of unorthodox 3-5-2 with Sterling and Sane wide, same back 3 and then Fernandinho / KDB and Silva which I think would be really strong through the middle.

Hendo is a huge loss for us but I think Wijnaldum/Milner/Can or Ox in there and we can still nullify them.

Key will be Salah's fitness of course.

Even more reasons for Guardiola to rest a lot of key players now after last nights result. I doubt De Bruyne, Kompany or Silva will play at the weekend, why risk them, and likely some others too. They are at home vs a team who won't have the guts to attack, they will still win and even if they draw the game, it's not the end of the world.

oh absolutely! But that won't be his consideration. He can still put a great team out, and stick 3 or 4 of his other stars on the bench!

Mind you, I am not sure United would do the thing we are concerned about with Everton - being absolute thugs out to hurt players. They still have stuff to play for unlike Everton, they surely don't want to risk their own players being hurt or doing anything really stupid. Still, I reckon Guardiola will not risk the likes of De Bruyne, Kompany and Silva especially. Maybe Fernandinho and Sane too.
