I think I'm in love with Aubrey Plaza. I'm already in love with Rashida Jones so I don't know how to feel.

I'll have Aubrey, you have Rashida? Or the other way round, I'm not fussy.

BBC4 have bought Parks & Rec incidentally, for broadcast next year http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2012/nov/22/parks-and-recreation-bbc4
Thank you Jurgen

I'm all about Amy Poehler, but I've got plenty of time for Aubrey Plaza as well.

So sad to see Bert Macklin go. The Bureau won't be the same without him.

Really? Personally Ann Perkins is the hottest, and shes a solid 7. Modern Family would easily beat this cast for hotness.

I'll give you Julie Bowen but Sophie Vergara's voice gets on my nerves. Plus Amy Poehler is genuinely hilarious and that gives her an extra couple of points ;)

30 Rock. Tina Fey, Katrina Bowden, and who the hell cares about a third woman cause they've got Tina Fey and Katrina Bowden.

New Girl's not too bad atm either. Zooey Deschanel, Hannah Simone, and Olivia Munn (and I just read that Brooklyn Decker will be guesting in a few weeks...so yeah).

Any show with Amy Poehler will be near the top, though.

Amy Poehler's not even in the same league as Rashida and Aubrey. Also Suits is definitely a contender:

That was the funniest episode of the season.  I thought the episode couldn't possibly live up to the synopsis - but it did.

Spoiler
Tammy II never disappoints.

Agreed. Incredibly brilliant. The way Schur evolves his characters is a pleasure to watch. For me, it's the most underrated sitcom of all time. It might not be as incessantly funny as Arrested Development or 30 Rock, but it's just as good.

Yep. First season they were just trying to make "The Office" with a female lead. Once they ditched that the show just took off. Second season has some of the funniest episodes of television I've ever seen.

When they realised that they could focus on the other characters, and it didn't all have to be about Lesley and the Park she wanted to build, it found it's feet.

They didn't originally intend to bring Andy back for series 2 - his story of losing Anne was supposed to be his exit - but they loved his character and the way it was played so much they found a way to keep him in it.

The more they let each character have their own little world, the better it gets.  Whilst this season has been average on the whole (for P&R), the last episode with Tammy II was one of the funniest in the whole show.

The main change was the decision to stop writing Leslie as a figure of fun. Initially, we were supposed to laugh at her - her dedication to local government was seen as laughable by the other characters. Now, that dedication is seen as what makes her great.

Absolute stunner of an episode. Think the male half of the episode might have been up there with the best comedy the show has ever done - Ron with his 'whisky', Andy getting a triumphant moment on the pitch, Ben wanting to play a roleplaying game...so much greatness.

Some great stuff in the female portion of the episode too, largely because of Ken Hotate.

Never end, Parks and Rec.

i have to say i disagree with this.  i think the show has never since been as good as the brandanowicz era and the small, claustrophobic comedy about bureaucracy and small town pettiness.  it's become a bit too twee since ben and ann became cuddly and silly.

it's been a steady decline though, and still very watchable. i was - literally - in tears of laughter this week... "... in a cave..." :lmao

Total opposite for me. First season was nowhere near as good as the rest of it and Brandanowicz was a pointless character. After he left I think it really took off and  seasons 2 and 3 are up there with any comedy show going imo. Seasons 4 and 5 haven't been quite as good but they're still better than most things out there.

Andy's speech about Chris marrying April this week was absolutely hilarious.

Interesting point of view, but totally disagree. Season 1 was poor, although it started to find its feet in episodes five and six. Season 2 is fantastic, but I think the show improved once Adam Scott and Rob Lowe came onboard and Paul Schneider left. Mark was alright, but such a dull character. When the show is over, I think we'll barely remember him. Would love to see him do a guest spot though.

Season 3 was incredible, the best the show has done. Think Season 4 was incredible too, and I've loved Season 5.

If we were putting it in order, I'd go 3, 4, 2, 5, 1.

"This is the wrong way to consume alcohol."

Ron: "I'd like four more glasses of Lagavulin in liquid form"
Waiter: " That's not something you really need to specify"
Ron: "You'd be surprised"

 ;D

Andrew Luck was incredibly wooden. Hibbert had one line and couldn't stop laughing.

Season 2 is fantastic, but I think the show improved once Adam Scott and Rob Lowe came onboard and Paul Schneider left. Mark was alright, but such a dull character. When the show is over, I think we'll barely remember him.

Exactly. If anything, those 2 light up the show and made it far better each with his 'special' characteristics. They made it much funnier. Mark was unbelievably dull.
