Just had a flashback - He did another one called "A prince among men" around that time too. I can't remember much about it apart from the theme tune and I seem to recall Chris used his Ace Rimmer voice.
Actually, from what I remember, he played a character called Sean Prince (I think, although that was the name of a lad at my school so I may be getting mixed up) who was a premiership footballer and I think he used his Lister impersonation scouse voice. 'A Prince Among Men' is straight out of the 'A Partridge Amongst The Pigeons' school of TV Show titles. I couldn't get enough of the Dwarfers in those times, including the rather rubbish piratey 'Captain Butler' from Craig Charles, although the contents of his treasure chest gag (YoYo, Hoe and a Bottle Of Rum) has lodged in my mind for some reason.

Back tomorrow!
Thought that justified a bump

The trailers have got me excited about it, even though they've aged terribly. Shame it clashes with Udinese though, praise be to Sky+

Watch the mighty RedMen play - then straight onto Dave Ja Vu at 10pm for the new series - seems they have the Camille, DNA, and Justice episodes lined up straight after the new ep is on - could be a long night in front of the box :)

that was the best bit.

Overall, feels more like the good seasons (4-6 being the best for me) but ain't quite cutting it yet but holds promise (bit like our fucking team  :D).

And while I realise that the others have aged (okay rimmer shouldn't but they can't do fuckall about that), why the fuck did they give Kriten eyebags? He's under so much maked would've thought it would have been easy to cover that shit. Looks very odd.

Surprised the BBC never picked this up for its own channels and the fact they think they have enough Sci Fi for its channels.

It was filmed in front of a live audience. Made a big difference imo, the delivery of their lines is spot on. You really notice it during the moose scene.

One thing I just realised watching it back, as Howard dies and tells Rimmer the truth, there is a slow reprise of the Rimmer munchkin song playing in the background ;D

Norman Lovett and GNP had a bit of a fall out a few years ago and Norman said he'd never play Holly again. The cast talk about it a bit in that Empire podcast Art posted and it seems like they aren't too upset about it!

?

It was widely reported that it was going back to its format of being recorded in front of a live audience. As far as I know all their laughter was always live, but they did a series where there was no laughter at all and for me it affected their timing because they were acting to the camera and not each other/the audience.

Yeah 7 and 8 I think. They filmed it in a studio, then showed it to an audience on screen and grabbed the laughter from there. Seems a bit pointless. There is a much better vide with a live audience for Red Dwarf.

Indeed. This was from him on his mySpace account " I can let you know that I will not be working with RD/GrantNaylor again as I have been treated appallingly by them over the years and there comes a time when it has to end."

Think they did that so they could up the production values (They were trying to push into making a film if you remember which would have needed them to be up with filmwork rather than filmed stagework) and they added the real laughter (Based on audiences watching) because GN hates canned laughter as much as anyone :)

So it was always real laughter, but some of it was more real than the other....?!>!!?!#£"£"£"DSS #SMEEEEEEE... #SMEEEEEEEGGGGG>..
