Enrique is a solid player with enough potential to become a very good LB, its funny how people expect us to buy ready made players all the time. Evra wasn't very good when the Mancs bought him same as lots of other players.

If/when Enrique move's to a bigger club, he will be Spain's LB.

L'Equipe claims that our scouts have been watching Rennes goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez ...

http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2011/20110410_094557_liverpool-se-penche-sur-douchez.html

He is turning 31 in a couple of weeks, and is free on Bosman in the summer ...

Reina :'( :'(

Said it before, say it now: I'd be happy with Douchez, either as backup or first choice. He's not the best keeper by any means, but he's been solid in the past and by and large he's been terrific for Rennes this year. There are definitely better keepers out there, but I'd be made up if we signed him.

Oh great, I bet we will get 7 free transfers players by the end of the summer!

You're overreacting! I'd take Marveaux over Jova or Cole, Enrique over Konch and Douchez over Brad Jones, honestly that's sorted out a lot of the mess for around 10m!

Think this window we really need to increase the level of players in the entire squad, by that I mean we should have 20+ solid performers with good footballing qualities. I'd use Lucas as a standard for a player who will give you a good level of performance consistently and then hopefully add one world class player

Good thing is if we get Marveaux next summer we can sell and buy a top class winger when there will be less need to sign players

If Douchez is a replacement for Brad Jones, we are talking a massive improvement here ...

With that I'm ok. Can't be Reina's replacement though, in case he leaves...

Exactly ... Douchez is a very solid keeper, but nowhere near the level of Reina ... If the report is true, it probably means that we are selling Jones, and Gulasci is to be loaned ...

Hopefully Sanchez is sat somewhere in Italy watching tonight and hopefully he see's us win, and then he can decide what he wants to be part of.

You're already a pain now imagine what you'll be like in the summer. It's not FM, if there's solid players available on bosmans we should always have a look.
If you can't trust Kenny, you need to find another club, seriously.

I think it was Nookie (?) who put it quite well.

If Enrique were playing for Club de Futbol Newcastle he'd be in the squad.

Our team can be very good with proper full backs like it was shown today. If we had proper wings, and a fully fit Gerrard, I'd say we would have won 7-0. :)

Right now I think Lucas would be a 15m pound signing. He's been as good just about anyone in the premer league aside from Bale & Nasri.

Most reports I've read say 7.8m. Much more reasonable.

Football without fans is nothing.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

Speaking of Spain's LB, Capdevilla is available on a free come summer no?

Could prove to be very useful as backup if we lose Fabio and Insua in the summer.

Nononononono.

If Aurelio wasn't made out of glass, he'd be arguably the best LB/LWB out there.

Note the reports list Enrique as valued at 15m, not transfer for 15m. Dock 5 million off for having one year left of his contract, and a few more for Ashley wanting money in his pocket. Certainly more likely in the 6-8m range.

Why do your reduce the transfer fee when you want to make more money?

I think being realistic:
Dzsudzsák -----> Jovanovic
Enrique ---------> Konchesky
Cahill ------------> Skrtel
Adam ------------> Cole
M'Vila ------------> Aquilani
Young -----------> Maxi
Stekelenberg --> Reina (If he desperately wants to go)

I think that'd do a good job of balancing out the squad without a huge outlay in the transfer market. Perhaps none of them are world class but all certainly add something to the squad. Given contract situations I think we'd have a fair chance of getting them all for under 30m (after player sales).
